Power: 292 Ford “Y” Block V8 Interceptor
All mahogany sanded and refinished, dry rot
repaired with new wood, hull sanded, patched, caulked and painted, upholstery
re-finished. Added forced air ventilation system. All work done by myself (hull
restoration) and my father (engine and mechanical) except for upholstery. First
restoration completed: Spring 1988. Restoration financed by partner. First
voyage: Spring 1988, 900 miles from Lock & Dam #1 at St. Paul through the Upper
Mississippi past Cairo, Illinois to Hickman Kentucky in 9 days, Co-pilots were
myself and financial partner for restoration. No passengers. Trailered back to
Minneapolis by my brother. Completed last upper locks of Mississippi that
summer. 1988 log records that Das Boot Traveled through all Mississippi
locks in one year, and all the river in between them! Second restoration
included complete re-caulking of all seams and hull re-painting. Boat has been
used on local lakes and rivers every year since second restoration completed

1976 F-26 that we keep on the Illinois River in
Peoria, Illinois. She has been a good boat and still looks great. We had to use
a lot of elbow grease to get her looking like she is now. She is one of 5 in
the harbor all of which are all different but 76-79 years. We renamed her in
2003 and she is now "Sundrenched"

Lake Simcoe area. Bought this one the summer of 2002 and love it. I would be

1974 Trojan Sea Raider 25'
Here she is, our first family cruiser. I found her
by spamming all the boat
yards, marinas, and marine surveyors within a four
hour drive of us here on Lake Champlain. One
marina answered back. It had sat for seven years
when the owner died.
The son that inherited it wanted nothing to do with it, and accepted our
offer of 4 grand, almost half of it's current value! The marina gets their
back storage fees, he gets some money for his trouble, and we get a GREAT
boat. Feel free to email us at
six.bennetts@verizon.net Donny (A special thanks to Tom Blanchard at
www.nymarinesurveyor.com
for
his excellent survey, and for taking most of these great pics.) For

Express, she is used mostly for fishing out of
Port Dalhousie on Lake Ontario. SIngle Chrysler 318
I have no history on the boat, but she seems to have been repaired on a
budget, which is now being redone. New floor last spring (02) and new
stringers this winter (03).. Good and steady on the water and a pleasure to
own and operate. |

She is a 1979 and while not pristine it is in great
condition for her age.
She (Taboma Too) (Take A Bite Out of May Ass -Too) was in an open slip for
the last 10 years but is now safely snuggled away in a covered slip. With
328 mercs she will do about 26 Knots flat out but both engines are a little
tired with over 1300 hrs on them. We are slowly refurbishing (cosmetic and
mechanically only) her with a deck and bridge paint job this spring and
engine rebuilds next fall when we are finished in 3 or 4 years she will be
as good as new. |

| "Cool
Runn'n II" is a 1969 42' Sea Voyager that is
basically new. My wife
and I live-aboard with our sea-dog Worf, in southern
Maryland, and have
owned her for 2 years. We have upgraded her systems,
remodeled the interior
and replaced the carpet, updated all electronics
including adding radar, and
reworked and repainted her hull and top-sides. Some
of the 'new' features
include a gel-fuel fireplace built into the wet bar
on the enclosed aft
deck, home theater system, she is wired for sound
throughout, has a central
vacuum system, water purification system, dual zone
heat/ac system, and a
fabulous set of Chrysler 440 engines with less than
1000 hours on them. They
look and perform like new. We also have a 6.5kw Onan
generator. Living space
is outstanding and rivals any new boat for comfort
and interior amenities. |
