This
unit is available in right, left or top
discharge. The unit produces 16,500 BTU in
cool mode, and 18,000 BTU in reverse cycle
heat mode. We recommend at least 3 discharges
for this unit. One 8” x 6” grill should be
within 6 feet of the unit and at least two
other discharges need to be the 4” round
supply vents. As always, more is better, these
are the minimums. The Electric heat option is
not available on this model.
Running amperage:
Cool = 12 amps, R/C = 13.5 amps. Add one amp
for the standard seawater pump. Start up
amperage is calculated by running amperage
multiplied by 1.8.
On average, This
unit is designed to cool cruisers up to 40'
and sailboats up to 45'.

can’t get a condensation drain line down to
the bilge. We are the only ones to offer the
Mermaid Condensator! Finally, you no longer
have to put up with draining condensation
water into the bilge or a shower sump. The
Mermaid Condensator operates on the venturi
principal and “draws” the condensation water
from the tray and discards it with the unit’s
cooling water. The condensator is silent and
non-electrical. The kit includes the
condensator, a filter, hoses, and mounting
hardware.

Solves Those Hard-to-Prime Water Pumps.
This system was developed specifically for
those boats with air conditioners that have
water pumps that constantly require priming
before starting the air conditioner.
Typically, these are boats that are on lifts
or are trailered. Rather that crawl into the
bilge to open a bleed-off valve to get the air
lock out of the line before starting the air
conditioner, The Mermaid Primer System can be
installed just below a hatch cover. Simply
open the hatch, turn the valve, squeeze the
primer ball until you have water flow, close
the valve, and you are off. It can easily be
installed in less than an hour.
