A guy I knew had one of those awhile back.
Very pretty boat.

He couldn't get rid of it 5 years ago. Sold it for half of what he owed on it.

Hmmm, very interesting! (and nicely done, btw.) I never thought about moving the fridge over there like that. Would solve a couple of problems for me, though (like getting a replacement one to fit!) Also, would make my life easier dealing with a straight countertop vs. the 90 degree angle one. Resou...

How's that SS sink?

I have a double sink in my '74 TriCabin, and I'm hoping this would be a drop-in replacement.....

I would recommend any kind of carpet your wife likes. Assuming you mean in the salon, it doesn't have to be outdoor or anything special. Get something plush and nice. Put down new padding while you're at it. Cheap and easy enough to do (other than a lot of cutting). What year is your Tri-Cabin? I ca...

Jwrape,

That's beautiful.
Love the countertops and the layout......

You've obviously put a lot of work (read: money) into her (I mean the boat  ).

Find a way....there's always a way.....

Even in this economy I find it hard to believe a 55 ocean for 55k ( even a real peace of junk), And I am watching the market and would jumped on it He bought it the first day it went on sale. Owner had it listed (not even listed yet) for $85K or so, if memory serves.... The guy walked over, offered...

I'm not trying to pee on your parade, but you're not going to have to worry about it at $85K.

I know it's very nice and all, but someone at my marina picked up a late 80's Ocean 55' SportYacht for $59K last fall.

Good luck. Hopefully you can find a way to make it work.

Aside from the unconventional Non-Marine equipment use, which lacks good seamanship and adds nothing to the value of the vessel, it is very important not to substitute marine parts for household or automotive parts or you could suffer great loss or, in some cases, even death. "Good Seama...

I like the idea, too. Always nice to save yourself over A THOUSAND DOLLARS ! Reminds me of the time everyone told me I couldn't install a car stereo in the cockpit because it would rot out in no time... Well, I accidentally sprayed the first unit after 2 years with a hose, and sure enough, it quit w...
