I really like the idea of making a bench seat there. I think I will give that some thought. I was at my today looking at it again, and after a couple of days of rain, one window is leaking ever so slightly. I just don't want to have to worry about it anymore. So regardless I hope to have them out an...

I have been considering the same thing on my F26. I am not concerned about the light as I feel like enough comes in through the side windows. If it does become an issue, I can always install a clear front hatch. It just seems like once the windows are gone, it will be something to never have to worr...

I am planning on the same modifications you have made. I like them a lot. Can you provide any details on what was involved with cutting out th transom door? If its just cutting it out and glassing the sides to for a finsished look, I am good with that. Also, did you make the swim platform? Any detai...

I have scraped the bottom of my boat many times using scuba. I live in coastal NC and am able to do this without a wetsuit from June - September. It really isn't that hard and it beats going to work. I take it out to an area with fairly clear water behind a barrier island on a hot calm day. I do it ...

My first F26 Sank, but I salvaged it, rebuild the motor, and got it back to better than beore. The searay was definately newer and ran a little faster, but that was about it. I always wished I had kept the trojan, and was pleased to find one for practically nothing just before Christmas. Aaron, I th...

Aaron, You don't really know me yet, I have only been on the forum since december and only made a couple of posts. I fly a fair amount for work, and almost all on USAir. I usually end up just short of 120 segments each year over the last 10 years. My neighbor is a pilot for USAir. We see each other ...

If this is the same as on the F26 I need some as well. I haven't measured, but think 20-30 ft would be plenty.

Anyone ever try to cut a transom door in an F26 or similar?

V drive in an F26

I have seen a few posts referencing a vdrive on an F26. Was this a factory option? How does the boat perform? Are you able to get much more cabin space doing this?

Any pics would be great.
