Re: Now this is a Re-power

Those engines according to a 2010 price sheet i found online were $62k each. I bet that cost another 20-30% for labor.

Re: My new personal policy

I have been here for some time, I have not sent in my Forum Support contribution but I have to say there is more than one way to support. I have spent some big ticket dollars with Bob at Beacon, although that doesn't reflect in my contribution level here I have and do continue to support Bob when i ...

Re: WEBASTO AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

I've been looking at these.

A few folks have them here on the forums. Very nice price and good size. I cannot find any bad reviews on them.

Re: 1987 10 meter mid cabin complete restoration.

Here is a great site that talks about using fiberglass for backer plates and options.

I think counter sinking the nuts would be the way to go, you would hate to have them strip out once they are epoxied into the hull.

Re: Sea strainers for 75 Tri Cabin

I have them installed factory.

They are mounted on the outside of the outside stringer. Goes from Seacock to input, output to water pump. I dont have a picture of them. they are graco i want to say with see through plastic containers. Filter comes out the top by unscrewing the center cap.

Re: engine room extinguisher - mid cabin

I would feel comfortable using 11x10x3= 330. Round up to 350 for safety then subtract tanks and engines. I don't have a system in my 1975, but did call and talk to a fireboy tech. You measure teh space and do this cacluation and buy the unit that size, do not remove volume for engines and tanks. Th...

Re: Moving to Lake Lanier

Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

I do hear the water levels fluxuate a lot on lanier too. I'm targeting a marina with deep water docks (65-70'), hope there isn't that much movement!

Re: Moving to Lake Lanier

Yeah i almost did move to Baltimore, ended up passing up on it. Atlanta is for sure though, found our last thursday. I'm excited and disappointed all at the same time about this move. I love the current marina, and vast great lakes. But I guess there is a bit more to do and closer on lake lanier. St...
