Re: Tube light in Salon 120V or 12V?

I changed to LED strips, the tubes seemed to run battery down if left on too long. Now no problem.

Re: Help with packing seal on drive strut

It is called the cutlass bearing and it can be replaced with the shaft in situ. The propeller will have to come off first and you will have to obtain the propper bearin. I do not know the bearing size but contact bob at beacon who can tell you. You will also need a specialized tool that pushes out a...

Re: steering wheel

Thanks

steering wheel

Have not been on here in a while and have a question. I removed the leaky syten hydraulic helm and got a teleflex and tore it down and resealed it and made sure all was okay. The question is the original wheel on the syten has a big taper and the teleflex uses a different one. Can anyone tell me whi...

F54 trojan power

Hi friends, Don't know why I should look at it but there is a 77 F54 here on Texoma that one "me" could get for a song. Have not looked at it yet but someone has and they said it has twin 671 Detroits. There is one for sale in Tn that has Cummins 905s. Does anyone know what engines come in...

Re: dripless shaft seals

I have dripless shaft seal on my f-28 and they work perfectly. FYI you do have to run a water source to them from engine water as once to a certain (don,t remember) water from outside the boat will not be lubricating the seal. They work much like any seal for a turning shaft on pumps do. On the F28 ...

I just put two new Pertronics distributors, easy peasy to install and work perfectly, oh yes they are the same distributors, turn same way, just firing order is different. Put em in, moved wires, started right up then set base timing. Perrrrfect.

Re: Bow rail up grade

I bought the last bow pulpit rail kit Beacon had and have had it or several years. All parts struts and connection to existing rail are present. I wound up not using. I checked and it fits all the F boats including F-28 through F-36. I do not need.
