We bought our boat from Marinequest and were going to move it over to Eagle Mountain Marina. We ended up staying at Lake Country after we found out our boat had been there fro 30+ years and had a big following with the other people at the marina. We just moved to the area from Houston. Do you know t...

I don't know how all of you northern guys do it. I just moved to the Dallas area from Houston and the cold is making me regret my move.

Thank God I didn't take the job offer in Buffalo, NY!!

At least it doesn't last long in Texas!

In my world, not only would he have lost his deposit, but he would still help to sell the boat, then cover the difference of the sales price, then say Thank You to the seller and mean it.

Just curious. mPulse, I have my insurance through Texas Farm Bureau, and since my boat is over 20 years old, they underwrite it through Progressive. I have a 1972 Sea Raider with a unique progressive policy number and login. That is...

It's been about 45 days since we bought her and my head is still spinning trying to figure out what we have. It's been fun though. Can't wait to get her pretty again. The previous owner varnished every last bit of exterior wood which wasn't kept up with. Once I can get the teak restored time to move...

Found out from someone on SmokStak.com that my genset is a model MCCK spec E or F.

So next question, does anyone have an MCCK manual they can forward or point me in the right direction where I can buy one with spec E or F? Each one I see states "Begin Spec E" and not both.

Thank you mpulse for the info, I will check out Land N Sea.

Coralkong, thanks for the recommendation. They seem extremely affordable. I want to rewire here in the next couple of months and started to get worried looking at other places on the prices of thicker wire.

Of course my digital camera wasn't working, so I had to use my blackberry, and only two picks came out decent. I cleaned up the top plate which exposed an Onan No and an Assy No which are displayed in one picture. Any help would be appreciated identifying this bad boy. http://i775.photobucket.com/al...

I pulled one off an wrecked police car in a junkyard for a buddies boat one time. It isn't marine quality, but it looked brand new and it cost all of $20-$30. Just a thought.

Where can I find wire online?

Does anyone know of a decent place online to by marine wire? I am looking for 10 and 12 gauge. All the local shops around me are between $90 and $120 for 100' rolls. The cheapest I can find online is at Amazon for $55 for 12 and $65 for 10 gauge. Just curious if anyone has a great source they can sh...

Juice Clark, how do you like the multi function gauges? I am thinking about going down that route to reduce the footprint of gauges on my dash to make some room for other items.

Just not sure if the tight grouping gets old after a while compared to having seperate gauges.

Thanks for any info.
