Re: The trip:
I've heard too many horror stories about structural damages caused by hauling old boats like this. Likely because the wrong trailer type was used...... for wooden boats what is best is a low flatbed on which the keel rests and then 3 or more curved sling supports for the hull just to keep the boat ...

Re: Thanx, more pix & more info
Now for the fun part: She is currently docked on the Tenn-Tom waterway near Pickensville, AL and I have to get her to Little Rock on the Arkansas River. Don't know how many river miles that is, but the experienced "pilot" I have hired to help me get her here (and teach me how to operate h...

While the boat is in winter storage, I do a maintenance charge on the batteries once a month but the last time I checked them, one of the 6v batteries was down by 2v. I was wondering if it was because I was not equalizing them. Could be but you could also have one cell failing which will not be cor...

my batteries are the same as yours with one house and two starting. how else would you hook them up if not parallel? isolate each battery per engine and the house battery separate? Yes that is how I would do it. On my F32 the engine wiring harness handles all lights etc: I have wired the heavy load...

F32, Is that a cabinet on the bulkhead between the galley and the head? Would love to hear/see more about it! Nancy Nancy... no that is a reflection of the cabinets above the galley fridge. The prior owner had a 1/4' thick mirror on that galley wall/head and also behind the cat on the shelf f...

All of these batteries are connected in parallel (pos to pos, neg to neg) So in fact you have one big battery and all power everything... not a way I would go. If you have a short on one engine circuit you would loose ALL power... in effect no backup. Or am I reading something wrong here?? On mine ...

Re: finally got around to really troubleshooting my Nav/Anch
There should be TWO wires running from the switch to the light correct? Bob Yes.... switch would then arm forward bulb in Nav position and arm both wires so both bulbs in Anc position. Have you put a Volt meter (or bulb tester) on each wire at mast light and moved toggle? What do you see? Should se...
