Re: Engines Stalling

I should have put that in there to. Mallory electronic distributers installed. Just put on new caps and rotors when I did the plugs and wires.

I did an oil change and a couple of weeks ago and put new filters and gas/water separators in as I do every year.

Oil Pressure Switch

Hi all, I am at a loss. Last week my oil pressure alarm went off on my starboard engine, Mercruiser 233, 1976 F32. Could not figure it out at first as the gauges all read fine, even the one on the engine itself. Then I noticed oil in my bilge and realized that the oil pressure switch had cracked and...

Re: Interesting Trojan Story

So I have read the this article and the replies to it. And having been scared to death the first time it happened to me in NY harbor coming under the Verrazano bridge with the family I researched the hell out of this phenomenon... bow steering  If I have a sea state that I am not comfortabl...

Re: F32 Interior Wood Work

Thanks all for the reply's, but duh! never thought to look at my original manual for the answer.

So it seem's Trojan changed there minds on what to use for the interior somewhere after 1976 and before 1980. BradZ, your not crazy, P-Dogg your also correct. So here is my 1976 manual, WATCO it is!

F32 Interior Wood Work

What does everyone use to keep their interior wood trim and bulkheads looking good.

Or do I have to varnish to get it to shine again?

Thanks all!

Re: Updating Electrical System on 1976 F32

BigD, Sound advice, thank you. As for going straight to the batteries with the charger, that was told to me by the tech at Promariner when I called for advice. But i'll double check... I do that allot. P-Dogg, I know I am cutting it close. I have done the calculations and will probably do the math a...

Re: Updating Electrical System on 1976 F32

Cool, watch the fuses as some cannot be used in a gasoline engine compartment, tough to comply with, I believe blue seas may have something for that now. Excellent thought, thank you. I am posting links just in case anyone needs the info down the road. These should work perfect, https://www.bluesea...

Re: Updating Electrical System on 1976 F32

Thanks for the input everyone, it is very much appreciated. FYI, I have no generator and don't want one. As long as I can power my coffee machine in the am, a small TV and my refrigerator I am a happy camper! mikeanddanna, your right, I do need to run the inverter ground straight to the negative bus...

Updating Electrical System on 1976 F32

I have decieded to update my electrical system as it no longer supports my needs for extended stays on board. I am not sure I have this right but here is my plan. Any input from the electrical nerds here is fully appreciated. I want to add a 3rd battery bank, so I will have 2 start batteries, one de...

Re: Moeller Gas Tanks

All, I thought I would come back to this as it has been 8 years since I installed the Moeller gas tanks and figured I would give you all a update. First off, no smell at all, Nada, Zip, Zero! So everyone that said I would have permeation of the gas will probably have to wait another 8 years for mayb...
