Re: Southern Ontario Trojan Rendevous Just Dates and Local

Dont want to hijack the post Ken, I like the marina, its close to home, 20 mins travel time. Having said that, the amenities are basic, nice area around the boat if you dont want to go out, and lots of bays in the area to through out the hook and swim for the day. No rates on haul out, because there...

Re: 270 Following Seas

Thanks for the info, yup, I've been on Erie, can blow up fast and strong. You are absolutely correct about Simcoe, I havent been out on it for some time. And to compound things, when I got to the top end, what I call "confused seas", waves coming from pretty much everywhere. Now, the one t...

270 Following Seas

Well...theres lots of info here about how bad the F26/270 is in following seas, I even had a fellow on board my boat, telling me he owned the same boat years ago, and how bad it was in following seas. So, I can now confrim this as well. I was at the bottom of Lake Simcoe, heading back to Orillia las...

Re: boat finished

Nice looking boat...always wondered what the F26 would be like with a bridge, it seems like a small boat for a fly bridge. Again, Nice looking boat!!

Re: Head question

Yeah, the head is the standard W.M. about $170 up here in Can, my boat only has 1 fuel tank that is mounted transversely behind the engine, and the water tank is mounted on the Port side, so I had a ton of room on the Stb side of the boat, I managed to wiggle in a 15 gal tank. Tank was about $150, w...

Re: Head question

Yuck is right. I have the same head that I pulled out of my 270, and replaced with a new head and remote holding tank, which IMHO is the best way to go. If you are interested, I have the head for sale on KIJIJI for $50.00. I could split it and send just the tank or the whole unit. No idea how much t...

On my 27 I used a hair dryer and vinyl scraper to remove decals, after that I had the boat wet sanded and all but a tiny trace of the decals is gone!
