Re: reverse rotation timing sprockets / gears

engine is all set- in the boat and running great. it turns out that when i installed the crank we had the gear on so we could drop it in on the correct timing as the engine was still all together. when setting it in we had to be careful not to damage it while lining up the mains and the 8 rods. whil...

Re: Looks Like a new motor.

it is very possible to get your boat into your slip with help from your marina and dock buddys. i had the same issues year one. the marina put me in the water-tied their tender barge to one side and assisted me to the slip. a couple lengths of rope for people on the docks to pull it in and your all ...

Re: F25 bilge blower

hi - your first pic. is of your air conditioning unit. in your second photo i think your blower will be located at the end of what looks like dryer vent hose. the blower it self is probably to the stern of it. your waste pic is where you pump out the waste and yes there should be a screw on cover go...

Re: reverse rotation timing sprockets / gears

thanks for all the advice - yes the crank was from another motor i had sitting in garage--gears are a match set from the engine which was running last year. the gear that is sticking out is the crank gear put on by us. all the parts were on and running last year with no noise so i assume timing cove...

Re: reverse rotation timing sprockets / gears

Re: raw water pump

this may sound crazy but it happened to me last year. i had one engine running 20 to 25 degress hotter with good water coming out the exhaust but not as good as the other side. it turns out that when i had the exhaust sytem removed to put in a new engine i put one of the 4 inch or so hoses on backwa...
