I agree the F32 is a better looking boat...more classic.

Seems like there are a lot more Silvertons for sale in my area.

Thanks everyone for the comments. The surveyor said the engines are tired, low compression and high hours I think it was 2000 hours. Just seems like there are a lot of boats out there that will have the basics in tact. A lot of you guys are much more mechanical than I am - I just want to avoid re po...

Do all F32's have the ability to pressurize the system from the hose? All I saw in my quick inspection is a regular garden hose type spigot, maybe it is somewhere else.

I will add it to my list of things to ask the seller Wed at the sea trial.

Shore Power Question

I am a newbie to a boat with shore power. If there are two power hookups does that mean that the boat has 220v - if so why would I need more than 100v Thanks hope that isn't a dumb question. I appreciate your help, like I said not new to boating just new to a boat this big with all the systems. Hope...

The canvas is like new... I can't wait until she is mine. I noticed the ladder on the swim platform is missing, bracket is there so I will check with seller. Also, do they usually have a pressurized water system from the dock water.. It has a garden hose type spigot. I am looking forward to the sea ...

Actually from the outside the through hull fitting looks fine, I haven't seen inside because I don't own it yet so I don't know what the surveyor saw. The seller just sealed it, it looks fine to me the surveyor is just very cautious which is good. It will be interesting to see what the deal with the...

Finally after the seller has been dragging his feet the boat is supposed to go in today. Owner getting it ready over the weekend, engine survey Tuesday and Sea Trial Wednesday at 1pm. He did not replace the through hull fitting (for the bilge pump) but just sealed it. The surveyor said it should be ...

I do not know anything about thrusters, but I do know a lot about handling single screws. When I was 17-22 my uncle had a 33ft wooden Broadwater single screw inboard. I got so good at handling it that one day backing in to the local bar/restaurant, it stalled, I restarted it while moving backward an...

I agree - I think once it is taken out I will live with it for a while and see what it's like. I have other places to spend money on her. Maybe when the generator is fixed and reinstalled I will need it to deaden the generator noise. I am not to concerned about the generator since I do not have a/c.

It seems like there are going to be a lot of things to get to know on an older boat that may have had modifications.

I guess I will feel my way through and get to know her little by little, glad to have this forum for help.

Thanks

Surveyor said the head was a freshwater unit, but again that could be a replacement.
