Re: When Do you Give Up?
I have been down your road bigralph. I love the challenge of a project. your boat does not sound that bad, or atleast next to my old F-32. Mine had most of the problems you speak of, but added to that was the fact that the balsa core was wet everywhere on the boat. Mine had been completely neglected...

I was working on my F-32 project, and come to find that she was too far gone for my liking and I sold her a while ago. I have a new project now, but its not a trojan, but I really like this board and I come here often for information. Much like someone else on this forum, I have gone to Silverton. I...

Re: A good project for cheap money !!
stringers are fine, no issues there. Flybridge deck has a aprox 5' x7' section that is starting to get soft, not that bad yet. Also the rear cockpit where the boarding ladder attaches to the cockpit, has a 18" x30" section that is soft. Other than that, she needs cleaning and updating in t...

Re: Bluetooth Stereo
On my F-32 I will be going with 2 stereos. 1 on the bridge, that will be what ever is on sale at West marine or the like. Usually they have the Dual brand, and it comes with 2 speakers for between 69 and 99 on sale. On the aft deck area, I was planing on running a Fusion or similar head unit, with r...

Re: Buying a new VHF...
On my Pursuit, I had a Standard, but I never tied it into a GPS.
On my Carver, I have a Uniden VHF, and the Raymarine E7D. They are tied together. I had no issues. I was nice to konw that with the push of one button, the VHF would broadcast lat&lon.

Re: Tricab dinghy size -- advice needed
Are you looking for a RIB (rigid bottom) or a SIB(soft bottom)?
I have seen the MVLP-10, and the C-10 Caribes, both RIBs, stored and transported on weaver davits. I personally haven't done this but I was planing on it with my Caribe, unitl I picked up a larger AB.
