Re: Hello - F36 Tri-Cabin owners in specific

That's a Tri-Fly! Helm is located above the salon with a nice lounge area behind the helm. Best benefit is the Captain now has company during the cruise and isn't abandoned by all the passengers, who are enjoying the cruise from the lounge area on the bow. Worst drawback is it comes from an era of l...

Re: 6000 miles in a 35 year old Trojan – Is it possible?

Thank you, for this. And all the nice things you had to say about Parks Canada, and Canada in general. I wish I knew you were coming last year. I liveaboard at Lock 27 all summer and it would have been great to meet up. You cruised right past our tricabin and we probably waved to each other, as boat...

Re: Tri cabin purchase advice

Hi, and Welcome to the forum! I can speak to the ease of working on engines in the mid-salon tricabin and I'll start with a little story... We've had our Trojan for three seasons now, and really love how versatile it is...cruise 10, party 6, Dinner for 4 and sleeps 2. When we first got it, I made my...

Re: interior carpeting

Carpet was one of the first things we did when we ripped out the interior on our '79 Tricabin. $1200, V-Berth to rear cabin. Foam-backed residential Berber laid by a pro, Bound edges and laser measured. Hatch edges bound as well. Love the look and the feel...we run barefoot on the boat. Roll it all ...

Re: For Blair

Thanks! She's an oldie, but we really enjoy her. I love the lines and the looks of your F32's but the space and layout of the Tricabin suits our needs better. It's very nice to have two solid wood doors and a big salon between the cabins and the moulded seating up front combined with the huge bridge...

Re: For Blair

Re:Bob...oh yeah...even after I got clearance from him for my carpenter to come into the marina boat storage area to do work he wasn't capable of, he ran my carpenter off. That was a defining moment for us. For others reading this thread this particular marina is NOT one of those high-end marinas th...

Re: For Blair

Hi Craig, I think you're going to like it there. Try to get on the other side of the swim area near the house...lot's of kids on the weekend, splashing and shouting. However, the restaurant isn't that great anymore. the owner leases it out on a seasonal basis, and last year's leasee never really cau...

Re: For Blair

Hi Craig! It's pretty sweet out here, that's for sure. 36 miles of boating through two lakes, easy access to several other marinas with restaurants, multiple fuel locations, Stoney Lake...we didn't even get a lock pass last year! All less than 30 minutes drive from home. There are two marinas here, ...

Re: 36' Tricabin Aft head

Yes, I suppose during the era they were made, that was the thing to do, with the design they had in mind. I see your version has the cubby holes to the right...we don't have that...just one long slab of mirror that tilts/lifts up, for access. We're looking at a modernization project in the near futu...
