Re: WOT

And I am loaded with carbon due to excessive cruising at 1500. Looking at using Sea Foam in another post. Sea Foam Any experience with this product for heavey carbon removal. Either added to the fuel supply or added to the crank case. Good, bad or better alternatives. Why do you think you have a he...

Re: WOT

Seeing what she will do wide open , give you a idea of how your propped . if you can hit or get near 4000 , then you know your good and the engines have a easy life running at 3000 . And if your only getting say 3000 at wide open then you could be pushing the engines hard even at 2500-2800 . You cou...

Re: WOT

A wide open 4000 rpm is what you want . 3800 and not at WOT sounds good would be nice to know what it is at wot to make sure you not goinh a lot over . 3000 is a good cruise rpm . I am not sure what speeds you should get , seen a lot of different numbers from a lot of people .

Re: Sea Foam

Seems to be a fix all on another site . I tried it and it did not hurt a thing or fix anything :) . I would not put it in the crank case EVER

Why do you think you have a carbon issue ?

Looking good . I seem to remember a issue with my lower nav or anchor light switches . Cant remember if I fixed it or not as I never use them or the lower helm ,

Re: Trojan Hull numbering and TRJ Numbering

My F36 was built in late 77 , it is a 78 model . And when it was registered with the state it was a 1978 . However when I returned it to U.S.C.G. Documentation the CG papers say 1977 . They go by the completion date of the boat . Its confusing yes but the way it is . Your insurance likely wil go by ...

Re: Trojan F36: "No lower Helm?"

Roger that! Well, I'm spry enough to go up and down the ladder to the bridge. I like the way the cabin layout flows without the lower helm. Not to mention all the booze the previous owner left in the wet bar. - Steve I always like a bonus . I assume your just bought it Congrats ! Feel free t...

Re: Trojan F36: "No lower Helm?"

Some were configured with out a lower helm , so yes this was a option . FWIW I have only ran mine one with the lower helm , don't like it . But some love it . while I wish I had the "bar" instead it is nice to be able too start the engines from below when working on them .
