Re: '80 F26 issue

First you really should put a marine distributor in . Second All my listings on the F26 call for a 14x10 prop so that may be the issue . but I only list a 318 chry 225hp and a 351 233hp merc not the 305 . Edit I found a listing for a 225hp merc ( not sure if its a gm or ford ) that calls for a 13x10 .

Re: Repowering 198310 meter Trojan

I believe you would regret going with 175 hp engines . That boat really needs more power . As far as Cummins B they may be too big ? RWS will Cummins "B" fit ? I was thinking you said something about it. As far as used engines and gears there is more to it then will it fit . Look at what the RPM ran...

Re: Not able to reach top end on F32

Hope the numbers are good and its some thing easier (and cheap ). One reason I said reducing pitch a liltle , it helps engines that are tired and boats that are hevier ( the way we add stuff) hit the needed rpm . Trojan and others propped their boats with fresh engines and light on toys and oh ya re...

Re: Repowering 198310 meter Trojan

You just need to down size the photos . I think thee are different programs to do so . But what I di is just email them to my self and down size them then . Kind of a pain but it works for me .

Re: Not able to reach top end on F32

Would be good to know the prop size . Check you tachs ( I have a photo tach you can use) . make sure the 4 barrels are opening and the carb linkage for full travel . try using the trim tabs too. Knocking off some pitch can help get the engine up in its power band and get more rpm and speed at wot .

Re: 1977 F30 318 cuts off under load

Should So I disconnected the wires from the strobe and the engines wouldn't fire up. So I wired them back up. Didn't realize the strobe had a round dile type knob. I turned it off and both engines are starting in any sequience. And the start board volt gauges is working. So could it have been the s...

Re: 1977 F30 318 cuts off under load

I just have the strobe light. Disconnect it How would the strobe light help if I disconnect it? The synchronizer / strobe can short one engines ignition system to the other . Seen it more then once " If the port engine is running first and I try to start the starboard engine it just cranks but won'...
