Re: 318 4 BBl carb

There is something weird going on here. When you have the starboard engine running faster than the port, the boat should be turning slightly to the left. 300 rpm would be hardly noticeable , and both engines are way low . Re: 318 4 BBl carb

Ok so your getting 1800 on the port and 2100 out off the starboard . So while the port will hold back the starboard some , it would not be that much . Its time to look at the boat . Re: Loud ticking/knock from starboard engine

Is it louder under load ? if so recheck for a exhaust leak look at manifold gaskets . Look for broken or bad or lose spark plug '. also spark jumping can tick . If all checks well It could lose valve or push rod . Someone with experience could listen and give you a better idea .

Re: ENGINE START SWITCH

SPST OR SPDT OR DPDT Non of the above the SPDT and the DPDT are normally on-off-on , the SPST is on off . You need a Off / On / Momentary On . it could be single or double pole but you would only use 1 pole . I have seen them called off-on-start before but the right name is Off / On / Momentary On ...

Is 2400 the best you got in neutral ? is this...

the hose should flex enough , avoid dips/low spots . Wire will be fine for grounding .

Re: 1992-1999 Trojan Express 37-40

Alternators are controlled by voltage on our boats ( no longer the case on newer autos ) as load increases voltage with drop so the Voltage regulator looks to increases the output to raise voltage . When using more source its like only one will charge and the other(s) will cut back . Will it hurt an...
