Re: 89 mid cabin inverter connection

The 2 powerboats I know of that have installed inverters do not have them wired into the entire boat. Wired mainly for the refrigerator. Sailboats are another story. I had one and I removed it and rely on shore power or the generator.

Re: 89 mid cabin inverter connection

Good question. First I would not like an inverter that comes on automatically. With the exception of running the refrigerator. What happens if it comes on, and the AC or microwave is on? At 1000 watts it can't power high loads and surly can not power all your electrical needs. Not sure how you have ...

Re: 12 meter mystery tank

The tank should have nothing to do with the dock water pressure. The water pump acts like a check valve so the dock water does not go to the tank. or at least it should. Is the pump working normally?

Re: 12 meter mystery tank

There is a pressure regulator for shore water that may limit your pressure.

Thought of this but would still have to mess with the diameter of the hole so just decided to plug and start over..

Thanks again.

If going to a transducer that is larger thread and nut I plug the hole by epoxy in a piece of wood so center the hole saws bit. Makes it easier

Re: Fiberglass Thru Hall Repair

The 12 to 1, I believe refers to the hole Diameter. I also believe 12 to 1 is way overkill for a small hole like this. I would taper the hull a bit and grind some around the edges ( not as deep as your drawings ) fill and glass over. I have done this more than once without issues. Another easier but...
