Re: 89 mid cabin generator fuel pick up tube
I have seen the tubs get holes in them, even a pinhole can cause them to suck air. I do not recommend sharing a pick-up. Some tubes are part of the tank, But you can always put a new pickup w/tube inside them.

Re: 89 mid cabin swim step bolt leak
Probably is screws going into a wood block. The transom itself is not cored. Best to do the repair out of the water. Maybe fill the holes with epoxy.

Enclosures are normally custom-made. A marine canvas shop can do it. What Trojan do you have?SillyGoose wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 7:06 pm I would really like a full canvas enclosure like the one you have, where did you get it?

Re: Replacement Fuel Senders "89" Mid Cabin
I would measure the tanks. 35 year old boat the tanks may have changed. FWIW I have found my Wema/Kuss sender and gauges a bit off mid-range.

Re: Port motor not starting
I assume it's cranking over but not starting? Have you checked to see if you are getting spark? Have you checked to see if you getting fuel? Need to find out to see what path to go down.

Re: Upper Helm Shifter Cables.
Goods question. But easy to figure out. While the lower is in neutral look at your cables up top to see how far out the ends are out. Then put levers forward. If the ends of the cable are out farther, the cable hooks up to the rear of the shifter. If shorter hook them up to the front. Congrats on th...

Check for power at the buzzer(s) and check to make sure the wire is hooked up to the oil and temp switches. (not sensors)

Re: Port engine wont start from bridge.Upper and Lower buzzers dont work
Are the gauges coming on when you turn the switch on? Are the buzzers not working from both switches or just the upper? check for lose connections Check to see if you're getting power to the switch. if you do check if you are getting power out.

You may have issues closing them with the gas springs Also one side they could break closing them. I seem to remember a post where someone installed an electric motor and worm gear to open.

Re: Edelbrock Carb Choke Wiring
It does not show the solenoid wiring, But I believe the terminal you're using to activate the relay goes to the + side of the coil. Full 12 volts cranking, lower voltage running as it feeds from the coil after the ballast resistor. Will the lower voltage keep the relay on? Would the relay draw much ...
