I have the part number 6770009, but cant find the referance to which tansmisssion it is. does anyone know where, or if their is a site I can get info on this. I am also not exactly sure if the last number is a 9, but it looks like it as far as I can tell. this is on a DD 8V71, in my 54' tojan

I have 54' 1977 trojan yacht and I cant read the trany tag on my allisons. The engines are 8v71 Detroits. Can anyone help

how much room will i need to get the pan out, and can I not pull the crankshaft from below If I need to ?

I have 8v71 dds, and they need to be rebuilt. Is there a trick to getting the pan off in order to change my pistons and sleves in the block. Removing the block is almost impossible. Can I just jack up the engine and trany?

what do you think it would take to get this trjan up to 18 knots.

just trying to figure out wht to do with these engines

I bought this boat and dont know weather to rebuild the 8v 71 DD, or replace them and power up. any sugestions?
