Re: 10 Meter Express - RADAR ARCH NEEDS NEW HOME

Do you think it is more then 65 lbs crated?how much to crate, paypal payment or maybe a cc over the phone to the marina?

UPS can pick up or a cheaper route would be greyhound but I am trying to not make it hard to give something away without being a PIA. Thanks

Re: F28 Thru Hull Fittings

This is what I figured out after removing the rest of the floor to replace the stringers and plywood for damage caused by water leakage, and fuel tanks from the flybridge controls and wire chase. I do not have the lower helm installed as an option. On the port side where the helm would be located is ...

Re: Is it okay to add more HP?

V Drive ratio is stamped E-1.0 71c after looking them up. Currant heads are a mismatch and valves were repaired and replaced some larger then the others, push in studs are pulling out,I have not run the engines yet just bent the push rods from stuck valves. GT40 heads have screw in studs all ready an...

Is it okay to add more HP?

I am going through the twin 351s and would like to swap out the heads with cast iron factory GT40 heads ( automotive use) They will add an additional 20 to 40 horsepower per motor bolt on,they are a much more efficient then the stock currant heads. The question being is everything else ie transmissi...

Re: Nav lights

Mine has 3 pull switches on the right, water pump, bilge pump, nav lights. When they are pulled out they are flush with the locker edge but the door is hindged outside of the locker frame, kinda like a kitchen cabinet. With the door closed you probably slide a quarter in there if lucky. I wonder if the s...

Re: Osco risers question

Dreamweaver, I mean no disrespect, but.... with your engines siting that deep in water for 5 years, Id think you may be in for more than new exhausts, maybe a repower? Not seeing any disrespect, the engines on their own I could rebuild in my sleep its just everything else that surrounds them I look ...

That would be scary not knowing how much fuel is left, but I knew someone that used the stick in the tank and said, yup,we have enough to go twenty miles and back.

F28 Generator location?

F28 with twin 351s,it looks like there is room for one to fit in aft of the engines but would this be to much weight aft? It would be 8 to 10 inches from the transom. The triple fuel tanks are under the cabin floor ending just forward the cabin door bulkhead so fully loaded it would seem to have mos...

Re: Gas smell 30-60 min after engines secured

It sounds like it is dripping gas from the stem that the lower butterflies and choke rod attach to.Not much one can do there unless it is dumping gas as it is a precision fit with no gasket or seals. If that is the case you may be better upgrading to a newer manifold and carburetor with electric aut...
