Rick's Pennant Order Status

I have placed an order with a company called "WESO" who do custom embriodery/textile manufacturing. They will be calling me in to approve the prototype sample and then, we are away. I've ordered thirty pennants. There are five Trojans in my Marina and all of them are taking pennants so tha...

Planing

Last week-end I took two of my marina neighbors (both commercial pilots) down the lake a couple of miles and on the way back they coaxed me into opening up the throttles a bit (I am not noted for horsing my boat like I sometimes do my motorcycles)............ bottom line is that they got me to back ...

Agree with Tad

Agree with Tad on everything everything except possibly his insurance comment. They (the Ins Co.) might not be pleased with the fact that you were away from the boat with the system still running. I suppose I've grown to distrust them over the years. When neighbors complain at my marina it's because...

fog lights

Does it matter what stength? When I think of fog lights I guess I think of amber. Is that what you did. Sounds neat.

Look up http://www.Hurleydavits.com for the trim tab underwater lights - not cheap.

Actually, when I think about it a little more, the first time I really saw underwater lights like these were on Richard Dreyfuss's boat in the movie Jaws. And on that note, those eerie green glow lights remind me of the martians spacecraft in Richard Dreyfuss's other movie "Close Encounters of ...

Yeah, those lights are neat. First time I saw them was when bareboat chartering 3 years ago in the BVI's. A yacht came into Saba Rock and turned on his underwater lights. Yikes, did it attract some big fish (I didn't jump into the water for a week after that) - then my buddy ordered them on his new ...

Hi Fixer Location of your two units?? One probably under salon stairs to the cockpit and the other under your v-bunks? I believe Trojan could have solved this problem back in the day, with a v bunk 3000 btu unit/ a salon 12000 btu unit and a 5000 btu unit located outboard of the starboard v drive en...

Air Conditioning

Hi Guys I suppose that what really opens my eyes is when I board my buddies new SeaRay, he's got three air conditioners (front, middle, rear) that are zoned to cool only their own areas. These units are small (5000 btu) but they work well positioned in this manner. On a hot day it's still possible t...

thru hull

Tad I have a mushroom intake into a seacock for my thru hull. The marina installed my original AC originally with no strainer even though I provided a brass one for them at the time. The AC subsequently filled up with marine plant life and became plugged and so please learn from my stupidity.... :D ...

Pennant

Hi Men, In my case, I am not on Jimini's reserve list to receive one of his pennants. I would like one of course, but as a Johnny Come Lately on this particular subject, I don't expect to receive one as they were no doubt already all spoken for (as I see from reading the thread.)... and which I full...

Forward AC

Thanks Nitro, Yep, you're bang on about the cabin size although it's pretty easy to get used to the spaciousness of aTri - it gets brought home very quickly though when some other boater comes aboard and suddenly blurts out, "Whoa, look at all the room in here." Interestingly enough, from ...
