Re: New to the Trojan family

Captrichc - Welcome to the Forum and welcome to that 32 Sport. Great photos. You are really going to enjoy it. I can confirm that the Westerbeke generator Ron has mentioned is indeed a low decibel number. I was sitting in his salon two weeks ago in Smiths Falls during Ron's cruise from Toronto to Ot...

Re: replacing ac on 1978 tri cabin

El Sea - Hope you're getting some time on that big boat. Still lifting the heavy iron? Marklo - Back when I owned a '74 Tri, I purchased two air conditioning units from Flagship Marine located in Stuart, Florida. www.flagshipmarine.com Flagship treated me well from a customer service perspective, di...

Re: Replacing water heater in 14M Intl Convertible

RMS and Ken...... hate to reply with no advice about the hot water tank except to suggest "Just do what seems to make the most sense to get to it, plan on taking twice as long as your planned and paying twice what you budgeted." But just wanted to say that I was aboard a 14 metre in Toronto that I b...

Re: 15 Meter Trojan International

What a rocket. Checked out a 13 meter for sale in Toronto on Lake Ontario a few years back. It had a factory hardtop which I believe was very rare. Don't know where it went. Salesman said the hardtop was appreciated by clients who ran offshore because it protected the cockpit from ocean spray. It wa...

Re: 1979 F28 Wood Interior

Lance, In my previous Trojan which was a '74 TriCabin, I had teak laminate with teak trim in the interior walls. I always sanded it right down to the bare wood and then put on three or four coats of plain marine cetol (never gloss.) Make sure its marine and not cetol from a lumber store as the flash...

Re: 36 Tri cabin Battery Charger

Hi Kallen, I think Big D was probably assuming the house bank would be running the bilge pumps which in turn would be maintained by the shorepower charger, but that's just an assumption on my part. Are you still running the F32? I seem to remember you mentioning it in the past. I keep my boat in Por...

Re: 36 Tri cabin Battery Charger

Where We Go, I have to assume that I know much less about this topic than I thought I did. So I'm feeling pretty humble. Big D knows what he's talking about and after reading his post I do have a couple of additional questions that I may ask him. In every generator equipped boat I've ever owned, pas...

Re: 36 Tri cabin Battery Charger

I thought I was being perfectly clear here. Take this with a grain of salt!!! What the hell are you talking about Way We Go??? I never fired up my Kohler Generator (my 6.5 single cylinder gasoline engine generator) while the boat was connected to shore power. What part of that statement is confusing...

Re: 36 Tri cabin Battery Charger

Tom, Sorry for misleading you. My apologies. Nope, I didn't ever run the generator while the boat itself was connected to shore power. Not for any particular reason, it's just that with the shore power on we didn't need the services of the generator. But if we had done so, I assume that the "smart" ...

Re: 36 Tri cabin Battery Charger

TPD777 Like your situation, the stock charger (if indeed it was stock instead of just old) was not connected to the single generator battery when I purchased the boat. I used to begin the season by bringing my portable car charger to the boat and leaving it on for a day in order to start off with a ...

Re: Merry Christmas

..... plus hopefully a great 2018. Happy new Year El Sea. I have no plans to head down to Fort Myers this winter (despite these current frigid temps here in Canada) due to family business needs. But enjoyed looking at your boat last winter and took a couple of photos of that great beamy stern. Take ...

Re: 1996 36' Trojan

Riverbend,

I own a 1994 370 Express. I've been trying to figure out what you've got there.

I didn't realize they made one 36 feet long in 1996. I will check my manuals when I get home to double check the rotation info.
