Re: 89 mid cabin fuel gauge

Wema is the only way to go. Give them a call. They have great customer service. It should cost around $70. You need a 153054 SSS/SSL and the length should be 22”. BobCT does have a post about it. Just gotta drill a hole for access.

My guess would be over tightening of the the collar where the toilet china meets the base and the constant movement and flex that the boat provide for these toilets...

Everyone's favorite subject...VACUFLUSH!

Hey Trojan Friends - First, let me start by saying, no I do not want to change/switch from a vacuflush system! I love my vacuflush. I have an old Sealand 806 model in my 1989 Mid Cabin. It's given me problems over the years with leaking (think bodily fluids on the floor) and with an inability to kee...

Re: POWER PANEL UPGRADE FOR 12m

Yeah, I get that! Oil (in the engine) and a working head definitely take precedence. It was a lot of work but the layout is done if anyone needs it, I can point them to the place I had these made. The one on the right is unique to my boat, pretty sure I have the only mid cabin that came w/o a gener...

Re: 10 Meter Mid Cabin "Refresh"

Sometimes we make mistakes... I've been dealing with what I thought was a bit of lifter noise on my port motor. It has been going on since last season and I didn't have a whole lot of urgency to resolve it... Well, I had a fellow amateur mechanic board my boat last week. He, like I, loves to stick h...

Re: trojan 10 meter aft cabin 1989

Here are a couple of shots that might help. The first one is of the filter when i had my motors out. The second one is of the engine compartment with all hatches removed... The only other thing that I was thinking might be in the way would be a closed cooling system. I am raw water cooled... pardon ...

Re: trojan 10 meter aft cabin 1989

thanks for that the starboard filter seems impossible to get at and based upon the amount of rust seems as if it has not been changed in years if ever anyone have any tips on removing it? Yes... First, shut off the fuel manually at the crossover. This is located in the center engine compartment, mo...

Stern pump is useful underway
Agreed. The only way to really empty the mid cabin bilge...which is always wet!

Oh to see the one at the transom, you may need to open a little hatch in the "floor" in between the stringers.

Re: 89 10 meter bilge pumps

The mid cabin also has three pumps. 1 in the forward bilge under the floor near the bathroom 1 in between the motors - i believe this one is labeled "mid" on my boat 1 all the way at the stern. this one is useless based on the way these boats sit. Two horizontally mounted breakers near the three swi...

Oh man. Did you see me tied up? I watch just about every boat that come down through there but I must have missed you. Having a baby on board does make for some extra work. Thank you for the kind words. Where are/were you headed that brought you up my way? I did not notice you, but there were a lot...
