Re: Shaft seal on helm pump for a 11 meter international

The 11 meters used the Hynautic system, (conformed)

When I did my 2005 mechanical refit, a decision was made to upgrade from the factory system to the simple 2 line Teleflex SEASTAR system which does not require air pressure to operate.

Re: Prop strut backing plates

the wooden ones have lasted this long; why change now? I threw that out there because I acknowledge that it might be OK for some folks, but that's just not how I roll though. I own my OCD. The nicest thing ever said about me I wasn't supposed to hear. Was replacing the cable life line that was on t...

Re: Diesels The perfect engines or not ?

Point of information David Pascoe, (R.I.P) posted those comments over 20 years ago in 1997. They were revised in 2001. When you are factoring in your costs, do not forget that the diesel boat will sell far faster and for far more coin than the gas boat. 10 years ago IPS and ZEUS drives were all the ...

Re: Trojan vs Trojan

As compared to the "BUBBLE BOAT" school of design, the F series offers a timeless style. While the International is no longer considered AVANT GARDE, it too has a classic styling that is not (yet) dated. The styling trends of the 80's 90's through today have seen some ideas come and go, and for good...

Re: Greetings from a former F32 owner

nice boat !

You may find that while the express style sacrifices some interior space and amenities, it does allow the operator to easily single handle her.

Congrats!

Re: animated hull 11 mt express

I'm not a marine engineer and do not know the terms they use, however I was told that in-water tests showed the 11 meter hull was the slipperiest of all the International series. I don't know exactly WHAT that really means... least drag? most efficient? requires the least HP to push onto plane? I re...

i've messed with a number of windlasses on my own boat and others

For a larger cruiser the GOOD brand seems to be bulletproof and unbeatable

suggest doing some research on line before you commit to anything

Re: What’s wrong with this picture?

anything on the wetted surface of the hull will increase friction.

period

of course, thru hulls are necessary, but the smoother, the better.
