Re: 1976 Chrysler 318 CW and CCW distributors
Do you have the source info on those distributors? I have 76’ with 360’s and am experiencing engine stall .wondering if new distributor/ignition will straighten it out?? Thanks, Bill

Re: Help with fuel pump
I would be very interested in the solution to your problem. I have a 76 F32 with 360's and especially when going back to idle at dock, they seeem to starve for fuel, like the pumps cannot supply.

Re: 1976 F-32 Fuel Line Size
I also just had two mechanical fuel pumps rebuilt. It seems no one in USA makes mechanical anymore. Even Holley is made offshore. The ones available are pressed together and the fittings are different.

Re: water tank
We have a 1976 F32, and is a sport fish model so the tank is underneath the sole of the cabin. It too is attached to the plywood of the floor but I don’t know if the plywood is the top or not, but will be pulling it out.

I cannot remember the # of the bearing, but bought a tool to remove/replace without pulling the shaft. Did this a year ago and was very simple task.

Re: Sparky sparky Update distributor
I am not that familiar with the 454, but suprised you still have points in 88. I am running 76 Chryslers with oem electronic and am going to put in Pertronics, it made a difference in my old 50 Merc flathead.

Re: cutting off at idle in gear
Playmate, we are in Md, on the magothy river, Cape St. Claire, I never got around to a profile. Bill Coby, before he retired, owned Coby Marine, and was a good Chrysler mechanic. Wish I could find another, lol.

Re: cutting off at idle in gear
I have had the same problem for over 20 years on a 76 F32 with 360 engines. I have put the same Edelbrock on the starboard, to see if it would make a difference. NO difference. I have gone thru the ignition also, and as we type, I have a Pertronics in the mail. I will try anything at this point. Que...

Re: COIL HEATING UP AND CUTTING OUT
Horhay1946, the only #s on my distributors are the Chrysler#36759 and #1354. the latter is a " coast guard" marine # according to a person I talked to at Pertronix. The same person said they could not id either of those #s so they could not supply a kit for me. That is why I wondered if yo...

Re: COIL HEATING UP AND CUTTING OUT
Horhay1946, do you happen to have the Pertronix kit #? I called Pertronixs with the Chrysler distributor # I have on a 76' 360 and they told me they had nothing to fit it, but I would think it would be the same as a car without the vacuum advance. Anyway, I am still looking.

Re: F32 scrap the boat or repair stringers?
I would be interested in parts also, hate to see the boat go that way. What is your aft deck made of , is it teak or fiberglass?? Also, do you have stock rudders? Thanks, Bill Nelson

Re: COIL HEATING UP AND CUTTING OUT
My 76 Trojan with 360's has same problem. Can you put Pertronics in the original Chrysler distributor or must you get another dist?? I have changed the coil and ballast resisters with no change. Engines run fine until I slow down to dock, them they die but will start right back up.
