Re: CHANGING SEACOCKS

Hi Hooked, I replaced most of mine on a 1976 Tri-Fly. the others I removed and blocked off the holes. Not to difficult if you take your time. If you do a search on Seacock Replacement, you will see my thread. Read that and if you have any questions after, I will be happy to help. I decided I will bl...

Re: What Fuel Stabilizer do you use?

Thanks Big D!

I finally got a hold of my marina. They say that the fuel they supply has no ethanol in it.

Re: What Fuel Stabilizer do you use?

Hi Big D

Are you saying that ethanol content will affect what fuel stabilizer I use? If so, in what way.

I apologize for all the questions that might sound basic. I never really had to concern myself with storage issues like this.

Cheers.

Re: What Fuel Stabilizer do you use?

Thanks Big D.

I'll see what I can find at my local CT store. I'm sure they have a big selection to choose from. As far as ethanol is concerned, I don't know. Does it really matter for winterizing? I will ask the marina operators but if I had to guess, I'd say there is...

Christian.

Thanks Paul!

Would Sta-Bil 360 Marine be appropriate for older engines?

Thanks

What Fuel Stabilizer do you use?

Hi guys, I don't know about you, but so far, I have had a great time boating this year. Unfortunately I have to pull my boat out next week. I will have very few weekends left to winterize my boat so I'll start early. furthermore, I want to get the woodwork off to re-finish it during the winter. Befo...

Re: Steering Slop Fix

Hi Misty,

I did check that. No issues found. However, I did notice that the rubber "coupling" is getting dry. I will have to fix this sooner rather than later. Ill have to figure out what its made out of. Looks like some sort of rubber. it should not be too difficult to repair. Famous last words...

Re: Show me your V-Berth

here, you can see how I made the patterns for the joists. Floor15.jpg Of course I had to make 2 for each joist 1-1/2 inch apart so I could accurately cut the wood to match the hull curves and angles. Floor2.jpg I have 1 joist left to put in but unfortunately, I ran out of time... The next step is to...

Re: Show me your V-Berth

I spent more time at the boat over the weekend. V-Berth is progressing well although a bit slow. I finished cleaning the area and kept 1 bulkhead temporarily. I was concerned of structural integrity if I removed everything in one shot. Berth1.jpg Berth2.jpg I then started adding ne floor joists. Flo...

Re: Show me your V-Berth

I'm on "vacation" this week. So I can work on the boat. My sweet Better Half could not join me so I can make a mess as much as I want  Today I continued stripping the V-Berth. I got rid of the chain locker bulkhead. parts are flying out of the boat now  I have a few observations. What I...

Re: Show me your V-Berth

Hi Barrie, I don't believe the bunks were standard or even offered. I guess they were added at some point. My boat use to sleep 9  4 in the V-berth, 2 in the salon and another 3 in the aft cabin. the port bed in the aft cabin was extended to a queen size bed. This is the one I am currently us...
