Re: Oil Pressure Gauges

No, but marina disconnects batteries during storage. They may have bumped or accidently kicked something in the bilge. This one has me stuck for answers.

Oil Pressure Gauges

I have a 1978 F30 with twin 318 Chryslers. Both my lower and upper station oil pressure gauges are close to pegging close to 90 psi. This happened after coming out of heated winter storage. Since all 4 gauges are pegging high I doubt it is an actual pressure issue in the engines. They sound fine and...

Sudbury Switches

I think it is time to repair or replace the two brown Sudbury battery switches that are under the salon stairs in my 1978 F30. Does anyone know if these can be repaired? If not repairable can you advise me of what replacements will work with the least amount of modifications. The switches still work...

Re: dripping groco intake seacock

Thanks for the information, the spec sheet was exactly what I needed. I will tighten the t handle and see if the dripping stops. I am still thinking replacing this with a ball valve this off season may be a good idea.

dripping groco intake seacock

I have a 1978 F30 Trojan and we boat at Catawba Island in Western Lake Erie. One of my Groco SV1250 Intake shutoff valves has a slight drip coming off the threads of the T handle valve, The handle is turned out as far as it can go, the valve has not been turned on or off for over a year. I would lik...

fuel water separators

I would like to replace the original fuel water separators on my 1978 F30 with twin 318's. Which brands and models would you recommend, and is this a DIY project? They are currently plumbed with copper, would replacements mean reworking the copper, or going to gas hose. Thanks for any help and advic...

Re: Ladder to fly bridge

The ladder on my 1978 F30 folds up and sits on the bridge deck. That gives a lot more deck room down below and makes boarding much easier since it is not in the way. Folding process is very easy.

Shift Cables

My boat is a 1978 F30 with twin 318's. The port transmission takes a really hard push on the shifter from the bridge to move in and out of gear. From the lower station is is still slightly stiff but not as bad. The controls are the original Morse products. I know something needs to be replaced. Ther...
