A few things can cause ticks... If you addressed the lifters, you can take a look at your oil... Ensure you are using the correct grade for you temperature zone. If it's the #1, maybe your not pumping enough up there.
It could also be an exhaust leak.

Prop size for F-32
I have a '78 F-32 with 360's. I have the opportunity to buy a prop set for a great price. I really dont need them right now, but i figure buy now, save later.
They look good just by eye-balling, but I don't want to haul out at the moment. They are 16X16 3 blade.

Re: Plumbing Questions F-32
I have nothing there. But perhaps it's a goor place to mount one. This is probably what I will end up doing. I will probably add a dedicated seacock for the wash down since he T'ed into the generator. I have also read in the past about there being some sort of check valve that would allow one to use...

Re: chart plotter/fish finder
This is one of those things wher you are going to get what you pay for. If you just want to find bottom and get a surface temp, most of the entry level items will do just fine. Any reason why you need a through-hull? A well placed transom mount will do just fine. One thing that I always mention to m...

Plumbing Questions F-32
I have an F-32 that was in service in Fresh Water it's entire life. It has now moved to Salt. The previous owner had made some plumbing changes: Added a washdown pump in the cockpit, bypassed the hot water tank, and converted the sinks and toilet to use raw water. It looks like he cut off the line t...

Re: F32 Starting issues
If anyone is interested, it was one of those aforementioned relays. There is an old and large transducer that is still in the hull, but long since been used. It looks like it required an external power source. I think these relays were there to power it any time one of the engines were running. I pu...

Re: F32 Starting issues
Thanks. I will see what these relays are apparently doing and go about eliminating them. As mentioned, I checked the breakers on the console as well.

Yep. Also the breakers on the console.
I was kind of half way venting and half way looking for a common fault. But I would like to know of the relays in the salon locker are standard to an F-32,

F32 Starting issues
OK Trojanites, here is a head scratcher..... I laid the boat up for a bottom job 6 weeks ago. Did all the work myself. All the yard did was lift it, set it in a maintenance cradle, then lift it and drop it in the water. I was present for all of their operations. When they dropped me in the water, I ...

IDC if they are new or 100 years old. So long as they look decent and can fit the origional spot. What was your source?

WTB - Bow Rail Parts
Looking for some bow rail parts for an F-32. I am not too worries about the rails; I can probably cut and bend what I need. However, I do need 4-5 bases. I think they are 60 ish degrees. If anyone has a part-out going, I would be interested in your parts. If there are some "Off-The-Shelf" ...

Where did you source it? What size for an F-32? I need to get mine done as well.

Re: F32 trailer?
You are going to need a heck of a launch ramp... At 13' wide and over 13,000 pounds, it will not be an easy tow. I do happen to have a tri-axle trailer for mine. But it really is a yard/transport trailer and not for rolling off and on. I will need a travel lift to get her off and on. there are big l...

Re: New Owner / More Questions
Do you have a recent survey? The value on boats have a wide margin. You got a fair deal for a non working boat IF the hull is structurally sound. If the stringers are bad, it is not long for this world working or not. I agree with the above; You would probably be better off with a Sedan model where ...

Re: Trailers for Large Boats
I have a trailer that can haul up to a 36 X 15. I use is as a yard trailer for storage, but it is a "transport" trailer, meaning that the boat needs to be tavel lifted on and off. Can't slide it off on a boat ramp.
