Re: What is this
There's no return spring setup on either motor. Well its on the coffee table now so I guess it's a coffee table bracket.

Re: Cockpit Size and Sea Handling
First welcome to the site. I wouldn't go out in 2.5M (8ft plus) waves in a F-32 or International or bertram 35. The F-32 does ok in rough water once you get used to it and operate it properly. The International series do have a better hull design. And there is a reason the Bertrams are priced that w...

Re: What is this
The hook end has more wear on it too. Who knows maybe its not even from the boat it's self. The boat was a dive charter before I got it. I know what its not too. Thanks for trying guys.

Re: engine rebuild
Summit Racing sells marine long blocks from $2079. each. And that is for chrysler 360 either rotation. Your going to have more than that in other parts and labor. Unless you know the history of your manifolds it would be crazy to not replace them and the risers. I would replace or rebuild water pump...

Re: What is this
Thanks Prowler. I have cable steering and there used to be autopilot installed. The piece is just steel not stainless witch made me think it may be from inside the trans.

What is this
http://s1125.photobucket.com/user/dusty12341/media/Screenshot_2016-11-19-14-10-051_1.png.html I was cleaning my bilge the other day and found this. Its probably 2 1/2" long. I have a 78 F-32 with twin Chrysler 360 and velvet drives. The boat runs and shifts great so I don't know where it came f...

Re: Crusader 350 oil change
You should really look for oils with higher zinc and phosphorus for older engines. That helps protect flat tapped cams. The newer oils are for newer cars. So they have removed the zinc and phosphorus that protect our engines because it affects emissions on newer cars.

I would use a leveler if you have one available. It's just easier and safer.

Re: New trojan 400 owner. Lots of questions
I am not an electrician so I wont comment on that. The other issues sound like maybe your seacocks are closed. Don't run the engines long without water. Check your fuel shut off valves to be sure they're open. I would definitely look into those bilge pumps, maybe the float switches are bad.

Also check the hoses for cracks. It could be draining into the keel.

Re: Air conditioner for an F32
I installed a 16000 BTU the way captain did. I also put a condensate pump under it to keep the bilge drier. It will keep my Express 68 in 90 plus weather. I do wish I had auto defrost.
