Re: Sherwood G-7 Raw Water Pump

Thanks Larry, I just called the marina & was told they are pressed on. They have a 10 ton press there so I will bring it over tomorrow & have them press it off. I pick up the the Sherwood total rebuild kits( Sherwood #23977) which comes with all the replacement parts. Sad to say the bearings...

Sherwood G-7 Raw Water Pump

I'm trying to remove the V belt pulley on the G-7 pump. From all I have read it seems they are pushed onto the shaft. I made a special setup & tried everything including applying heat to the pulley hub. It won't move... any ideas?
Thanks in advance...

Re: Sherwood G-7 Raw Water Pump

Anyone have an idea of the stamping on the impeller? " 9. 90 " could that be the year it was manufactured?

Re: Sherwood G-7 Raw Water Pump

I have had good luck finding impeller pieces by back flushing the system with a nylon stocking on the end where the water comes out. If you match up the pieces, you can decide if there are any missing, in which case you need to take it apart to find them. Good idea. I'll definitely do that, Thanks

Re: Sherwood G-7 Raw Water Pump

I pulled the thermostat housing off & found some large pieces of the impeller lodged inside. I wonder how many more pieces are in the engine circulating water pump! I'd better buy extra circulating pump gaskets as that will have to be removed for inspection also. The thermostat is stamped 9. 90 ...

Sherwood G-7 Raw Water Pump

We were all set yesterday for a leisurely cruise up to The Grande Dunes Marina (North Myrtle Beach, Sc) for lunch at the Anchor Cafe. We had our friends onboard from California & were looking forward to a day on the ICW. Upon starting the engines I noticed very little water exiting the exhaust o...

Re: Hot water tank

Need one for my 1976 F32 Home Depot wants $279.00 for a 2 gallon, currently have a 12 gallon unit, any idea out there if possible to get a used item. Located in the Toronto area. Camping World has a POU (point of use) 110 volt hot water heater with a decent recovery rate for about $150.00. If you a...

Take the fuel line going into the carb off, put a coffee can under it and crank the engine over. In about 2-3 seconds you should see 2-3 ozs.of fuel in the coffee can if it's feeding correctly

Re: Tides up

Same here in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Waccamaw River will crest today. It will be interesting to see how much higher the PM tide will be. DNR was going house to house yesterday talking with people that might be affected by the Waccamaw cresting into the ICW. I haven't been able to board my boat since l...

Carbon monoxide detector

Does anybody know of a CO warning system like the FIREBOY XINTEX Propane/Gasoline Sensor. My gen set is in the salon area of my 1974 F-32 and would like to have a sniffer in the bilge area with a remote alarm in the galley/V berth area. I have the standard CO "disk" type sensors thru-out t...

I don't have the part you're looking for but my flybridge seats are in need of replacement & am looking at these. Great pricing.

Re: Water in forward bilge

All water drains to the bow on my 1974 F32 also. There are 2 large pumps with float switches up front. I guess that's why Trojan put the thru
hull drain plug in the bow!

Trojan 321 without strainers

My 1974 F-32 does not have raw water strainers installed. I am totally new to inboard engine boating. Can someone post a pic of where they
are installed. It seems that there is not a lot of room between the seacock & where the 1.25" hose loops around & comes into the pump.

Re: Shipping 32 Trojan

I just had my F-32 shipped from Lake Norman, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC on a lowboy trailer without removing the flybridge. Oversized permits were needed ($125.00) & the department of transportation (DOT) told of which route had to be taken. I received quotes ranging from $3,200 - $3,700 for removin...
