Shaft Question concerning 454
Well, I have the engine and I am using a velvet drive 1:1 tranny, and I am also using the original Crusader tranny mounts, so the coupler lines up with the shaft very well. Now, can that inch shaft stand the 454 spinning it? And to get on plane at the lowest RPM, what RH prop do I need? 1972 F-25......

454 in F-25
I see your point. I would love to go with the 350, but I will have to wait for the tech to build one. Which sux. Plus, I really don't want a rebuilt engine. I figure if I get this engine and not happy with it, I can always trade it for a 350. I mean this engine is clean and preforms FLAWLESSLY. The ...

454 Question
I am gonna put this engine in during the weekend and need to get some input. I think if I prop her right and stay off the gas that I will be ok. Any expericence with a 454 in an F-25 would be a great help.

454 in F-25
Hi all, I was trying to prop my boat right with a 305 engine, but I got a great deal on a Mercrusier 454 with 62 hours on it. Right hand engine. I think this will solve my spped issues. I am not going to run it hard, just like to have the power there, and I could not resist the deal. If I keep those...

Thanks Paul, I have tried to locate a 12x10 LH prop. I cannot find one!!! Does anyone have one that they would care to part with? I have a 14x14, and 14x10 that I would trade, or I will buy it outright. I need one. Also, on that same engine, at idle I am getting a hint of fuel from the exuast. Could...

F-25 Prop match..Need help!!!
I have a 1978 F-25. I have a rebuilt 305 closed system engine installed with only a 1:1 tranny, no room for a reduction gear. I had a 14x14 on it and I could not get but 2500 RPMs wide open, I then put on a 14x12 and got 3500 to 3800 RPMs. I am looking for a LH 12x10 this should put my RPMs where I ...
