Re: 11 meter hard top

One picture of the headliner, minus the LED lights, thus the hanging wires. Need to re-cover the radar arch naugahyde as it is a bit dingy from age, so will recover to match the new inside. Then time for cool summer boating. Huge difference in inside temp on sunny days.... D65150A7-A964-41CE-87AC-E3...

Re: 11 meter hard top

Thanks RWS, I am very happy with it. The canvas guy will be finishing up the windows in a few weeks, yes, the air flow is awesome. I put the aft light combo on the 10” Radar extension. Not putting rod holders underneath. We store them in the aft locker, I’ll post inside headliner photos next time ou...

Re: 11 meter hard top

Well, got it finally done. Made the hard top for the 11 meter. 11 feet by 12 feet. Wood frame, 1/4” plywood top, 2” foam board, and west epoxy with two 7 oz layers of glass. Used 2” pvc for the radius edges, and lots of sanding. 4 coats of interlux white, and non skid for most of the top. This will ...

Re: 11 meter hard top

Ugh, sorry to hear that it was totaled. I am not familiar with the PVC material. It Strong enough to walk on it, I assume strong enough to attach light hardware. Ill do some investigaing into the PVC board as an option. Nice looking boat. Sorry to see it go

11 meter hard top

Did a bit of searching, but having a hard time finding 11 meter boats with hard tops. My canvas is/and has leaked when it rains, and really want to put a hard top on it. I am quite able to make one, and am already making the plans to do so. Just want to see others out there that already have them to...

Re: New Trojan Guy

Welcome to the international family. You will love the boat, with that wide beam, you will need plenty of chairs. Everyone wants to come to your boat because of all the room. Fuel burn on the otherhand.... be easy on the throttle and its not so bad. Wanna race someone? 50 gallons an hr.... just tell...

Re: Strange Electrical and Battery issues

Prowler is probably correct on this however, don’t slap your hands together and think this is ‘fixed’. My guess is you have a corrosion and poor connection issue. Electrical connections and marine conditions are not good bedfellows, then throw in the salty ocean breezes. You may want to check your a...

Sparky sparky Update distributor

While testing my repair on the velvet drive reducer, i noticed a pretty good spark coming from my coil wire to the distributor, arcing from coil to comon ground. First off all glad we always run blowers 5 min before we fire up the girls and always do a sniff test from the blowers. So, cleaded off th...

Velvet drive repair

Well, throttled up the 11 meter two weekends ago, and was just about on plane when the port engine decided to rev up really high. Dropped both throttles, and did the put each engine in gear, and found the port drive had no thrust. Engine ran fine, opened the hatch to take a peak. Heard a scraping so...

Re: Emblems and gelcoat paint color

Ok, whatever tape they used, ill start using it to fasten all my hardware from now on. That stuff is impressive. Im going to try a little light solvent to soften it up so I can pull one off. I will then try to get it replicated using 3-D printing. Just need to find one that can match the colors (chr...

Emblems and gelcoat paint color

Two questions: 1. Emblem: Going to try to replicate or re-finish the old Trojan emblem as well as the 11 meter emblem. Cannot find any replacements other than vinyl. Rather be as close to OEM as possible. Thinking 3-d printed will be an option how do I remove the original? Glued/screwed on from back...

Re: stansion repair

I also have the 11 meter. Depending upon what ones are loose, they can be a bugger to get at. I resealed mine last summer. Takes two people, one to spin the nylock nuts undermeath and one to hold the phillips head on top. I had to remove my interior coverings above the bunks, reach back behind head ...

Re: Auto Pilot

Ok, good to hear. Ill pop into a few dealers and see what they suggest as well First have to poke my head under the helm to see if i have Hydraulic steering. If not, then more hardware. She is still on the hard with her winter dress, but only a few more weeks. :D
