Largest wood Trojan

Anybody know how many feet the largest wood hull Trojan was? I believe it was 47' but I'm not sure.

Engines are twin Detroit 6V 53's. At least, that's what the ad says. Not sure exactly what that means but it SOUNDS impressive. Now you see why I need help. I know next to nothing about diesels.

Thanks. I'm looking at a couple of 42 footers. One is gas, one is diesel. The diesel also has a flybridge. Other than that, they're identical. The only problem is, the diesel is $25,000 more. Is it worth it? I've been warned of the dangers of gas (explosion, etc.) but don't know how much of a risk t...

Converting to diesel

Anyone have any idea how expensive it would be to convert at 42' Trojan from gas to diesel or even if it's possible to do that?

Master stateroom conversion

This may sound like an odd question, but has anyone out there ever converted a queen stateroom on a Trojan to two singles? The two singles give us more options but I don't know how involved that would be.

V-berth bunks

I'm looking at a 1969 42' Trojan but it doesn't have the Pullman-style bunks in the V-berth like all the others I've seen. I don't know if they were taken out or just didn't come with that feature. I have 3 boys so that option is essential. Anyone know if this was standard on that year boat and/or i...

Diesel vs. Gas

I'm looking at a couple of different boats and need some guidance. They're both 1969 42' Trojans. One is gas. The other is diesel with a flybridge. The diesel is $15,000 more. All things being equal, is it worth it? Also, I've heard conflicting reports on fuel efficiency. I've been told the gas burn...

Removing the flybridge

I'm thinking of purchasing a 42' Trojan but I must have it transported overland. Problem is, it has a flybridge which makes it too tall. They can only transport it if they remove the flybridge. How complicated is that and does anyone have any idea how much something like that would cost?

Install a waste holding tank on a 42 Trojan

Anyone out there installed a waste holding tank on a 42 Trojan? I have a '69 model and want to install one to comply with state and federal law but have no idea what that costs or even if it's possible.

Manual and/or brochure for '69 Trojan 42 Flushdeck

Any ideas where I can find a manual and/or a brochure for the 1969 model Trojan 42' Flushdeck? I've checked the Internet and e-bay with no luck.

What was the last year for the 42' Trojan with a wood hull?

We used to have a 42' Trojan with a wood hull and I'm trying to find out what year. My brother thinks it was a '73 but I thought they had gone to fiberglass by then. Also, I've seen a 43' foot '69 model advertised. I wasn't aware they made a 43' back then.
