Re: Project "Tri Fly"
Hey Barrie, good to see you on track! Winter can be cruel up there! Some thoughts... Above your sink near the fan and upper right corner was a drip spot for me. (flybridge bolt overhead too) Make sure those are sealed up tight unless you like green fur mold on your breakfast cereal, party crackers e...

There might be something to that. One red and one green makes me think directional something or other

Re: Tri Fly Near Me ... good candidate
It'll get snapped up. Anyone who prices out a Vancouver island summer home vs this little number will come running. Air bnb income alone there would pay for itself very quickly. I suspect prowlers did too through charters though...before he went and improved it heheheh... So its a TIE!!!

Mystery Lights? onan Genset parts
Hey all... I keep meaning to ask if any of you have these indicator lights installed as I do and what they are for. I suspect they are indicator lights for the unipas autopilot (which I am all for rebuilding!) or the extinguisher system. Before I crawl around I wanted to ask. I am also (finally) in ...

Re: Vacuflush Pump Help
You CAN if you completely ditch the vacuflush system! Which many choose to do, especially those new to boating that find it too finicky and unreliable. Still, the pumps can definitely be rebuilt. Get a pdf manual. You will need it to maintain it properly.

Re: Hatch hardware
Funny I JUST replaced my broken perkos with new perkos. Not the best design. IMO pull them out and go with something that you like. Just do a clean install of a seadog, a transom window lift etc... Hardware is only limited by your imagination.

Re: Your isolation transformer experience?
Yeah in fresh water I would say you are adding for safety rather than conserving UW metals. So in that vein it will only be as good as the rest of your system AND ANY MARINA YOU PLUG INTO. If we get into a paranoid discussion here I find about 1/3 marinas in the northwest were wired by someones drun...

Re: Project "Tri Fly"
Wow! My dad in NY said you guys were getting slammed with snow. But that didn't stop the Seattle Sounders from taking the MLS cup home from Toronto!!!! Tops on our boats are a concern. As one member pointed out that is a LOT of space and windage up there.

Re: Project "Tri Fly"
Barrie that would be a tricky one on our model because there is only a 20" step down. But that didn't stop me from scheming (before I plopped down the coin on two level canvas. Beans and rice for the rest if the year is no big deal). Lets see if I can make my idea clear. But its sorta unconvent...

Re: Project "Tri Fly"
Welcome, but pls don't hijack Barrie's thread. Its a veritable textbook on Tri Fly restoration. You bought a wonderful boat, but absolutely not the boat for long range open water cruising, so maybe a new thread topic could include that with your intro. The members here are very helpful and insightfu...

Re: Project "Tri Fly"
For the look I went with black too. Well, thats what Delta yachts ("the" delta) recommended, as they have been guiding the restoration, so I didn't protest, although you lose the ability to dive and see fouling, damage, etc etc if your boat stays in the water all the time like mine. So I a...
