Re: NEW BOAT PURCHASE
Agree with you on the extra fender cleat. Mine has them installed too. When using it though you have to be careful with the height of the fender that there is no pressure being applied to those fins.

Re: Winterizing Walter V Drives
Great customer service as long as you have the model number and serial number of the v-drive. The raw water passage is small, holds about two cups of water. They recommend that you take out the six bolts on the cover and inspect it every year for build up and any blockage. So you will need extra gas...

Re: Chaning the cabin door lock on 1990 12M International
Sorry, I'm shrinkwrapped and tucked away for the winter. I haven't been looking at the site lately. My set up on the 12 meter looks nothing like what you have. Go to this youtube video and you can sort of make out the lock design on the 12 meter at 49 seconds and really close at 1:08. It's a tall an...

There were two screws on the inside of the door that I took off and that was it.

Re: 12 Meter International - Diesel Emergency Shut Off
Anyone know of a part number(s) to get these emergency shut off cables? From what I'm reading 2-stroke DD's can "run away" by using their own oil and the only way to shut them off is by choking out the air. I found some pictures of Trojan diesels that have these emergency pull stops by the...

12 Meter International - What part is this?
I found this in the bilge of my 12 Meter. Since it's pre-bent it might be a floor support? But I can't figure out where it goes or how to install it. Anyone know? It's 1/2 stainless that is symmetrically bent and it has two bolts welded on the ends for attaching it to something. The previous owner t...

International Sling Positions
Hi,
Does anyone know exactly where the Travel lift slings should be on a 1990 12M International? Pictures would help or a measurement from a fixed stanchion or something like that.

Yes there are some orphaned clips that are still there where I would guess the cables go

Re: Chaning the cabin door lock on 1990 12M International
I took your advice, took the lock off and gave it to a locksmith for a day. He rekeyed it for $20. He said it's a very simple lock cylinder.

12 Meter International - Diesel Emergency Shut Off
I recently purchased the boat and one of the items that the surveyor said was missing was an emergency shut off handle at or near the helm. There are emergency air flapper valves that you can click on the engine that will stop the air from getting to the detroits and the motor will shut off. My boat...

Re: Buying a Trojan 12 meter Express
This originally had gas motors. Owner put in these about 6 years ago. Which reminds me I need to modify the fuel fill caps because they still say "gas".

Chaning the cabin door lock on 1990 12M International
I just bought the boat and I think I want to change the lock on the door. Has anyone done this yet. Can I just change the lock cylinder or do I replace the entire lock?
