I have decided not to swap the props and just going to swap the motors this Saturday. I have also borrowed a set of 4 blade 18 x 19. Let’s hope this switch is the end of this project for a while. I am ready to enjoy the end of the season.

Changing gears, shafts, and running gear probably won’t happen for a couple years. So what options for props am I looking for 3 blade 17x17 or what 4 blade options. Does anyone know how big will fit under the boat. Thank you.

Ii finally got time to test the boat’s RPM at the dock and also under load. Just in case there was change under load. You are correcr the tachs are not correct, i was able to check at idle and they do not match. I will need to get another tach to test at operation.

I probably wont get back to the boat until Thursday for follow up.

I was able to get the boat in and get some data today. Test run: full load of fuel, clean bottom, 16 x 16 cupped. The port motor is standard rotation, I have had it down to the short block and that motor is .60 over I found out. I did confirm both transmission plates did have the same ratio and appeared to be the same vintage.

My gear ratio is 1.52:1.

The engines are under the helm seat. The layout below is a v-berth, dinette on the starboard side in front of the head, and bunk beds on the port.
