Re: Fuel sending units
Thank you Prowlersfish... Yes, all three are inaccurate to varying degrees. I have searched the grounds and all look good but I have not disconnected and cleaned the connections. Next on my to-do list. The sending units are putting out an ohm reading at the tank but does not seem accurate when manua...

Fuel sending units
Another question for the forum guru's..... Fuel sending units Fellow boaters.... I have a 1975 Trojan FBMY with Chrysler 440's and I am getting very erratic fuel readings on the bridge. The fuel gauges are AC gauges and I have tested them by grounding out the sending unit terminal on the gauge and t...

Re: Cabin top leak
I have..... this past test I had plastic taped on the windshield all the way to the foredeck and still had the leak. My next thought is possibly from the flybridge but I don't think there is a direct channel to go from the flybridge to the cabin top....thanks for the added suggestion

Cabin top leak
Hi Trojan lovers, I have a dilemma and need your collective brains for help. I have had a 1975 Trojan 44' FBMY for over 20 years and have developed a leak(severe) in the forward cabin, starboard side, right where the closet bulkhead meets the hull. It is right below where the cabin top meets the dec...

Re: Engine warning alarm
Thank you prowlersfish and captainmaniac.... prowlersfish.... I was confusing the switch with the sending unit  ..... I was thinking of the circuit just the opposite of what you describe. Makes perfect sense now! I can see, now, where there must be a short in the line somewhere. captainmaniac....

Re: Engine warning alarm
Thanks prowlersfish..... Not sure I understand, are you saying the sending unit is just completing the ground circuit? I'm mostly concerned about the oil pressure. When I turn the key the alarm comes on until 2-3 pounds of oil pressure is detected closing the sending unit which turns the alarm off. ...

Engine warning alarm
HI all: I have an issue with a starboard engine alarm light and buzzer remaining on after the engine has started even though the oil pressure and temperature gauges indicate the correct readings. The warning light/buzzer will waiver on and off but primarily on, almost like a loose wiring problem. I ...

Re: Crusiar air conditioning
Thanks, I thought of the compressor but not the capacitors. I don't think water flow is the issue as I am getting the same steady stream overboard as always...

Crusiar air conditioning
I have a 44' FBMY and I'm having trouble with one of the air conditioners. The system will run without any problem in the run position but when I switch to start the fan will sound labored and the breaker will trip after 10-15 seconds. Any suggestions on where to begin? I have looked at all wiring a...
