Re: F25 Renovation Inside & Out
A few more pics, some boat polishing is happening while waiting on engine reinstall. You can see the hardtop off and laying on the cabin. And getting ready to rename her so the old "MARHABA" had to go. A lot should come together in the next two weeks, we'll see.

Re: F25 Renovation Inside & Out
It took about 4 months for this gas tank to come in! But it's here, so it's time to start putting things back together . . .

Re: F25 Renovation Inside & Out
After making peace with the fact that the freeze/casting plugs were rotting, and that there's not enough room in the engine bay to get to them. we make plans to pull her. So a few pics after we took her out back in November. The hardtop came off, and out came the 318. Presently waiting on a new plas...

Re: F25 Renovation Inside & Out
JB@TO, while this is my second Trojan, I've had boats forever. Even a "turnkey" is still a boat right? :D I took a test ride in this boat and looked through the meticulous service records. It was obvious it needed a tuneup, as it would start and run great up to a little over 2000 rpm then ...

Re: 10 meter Express New Dash/Console Project
Great job and inspiring! Boat low voltage wiring intimidates the hell out of me for some reason. I've rewired plenty of line voltage in the houses I've remodeled. But those little 12 volt wires and fuses and colors - I don't seem to get it. Admire you for tackling this.

Re: F25 Renovation Inside & Out
Right before we pulled her out in November, I ripped out the stapled-in cabin wall liner. I hate that stuff for some reason. I did leave the headliner alone for now. So was starting to play with putting up a plywood wall over the fiberglass, with the idea of doing a lapstrake look in the cabin. That...

Re: F25 Renovation Inside & Out
Rick asked about the plan for the head. While I would like the simplicity of a new manual head, we're on a lake with no extended cruising and lots of landlubber guests so we're going to go for a nice electric head. The old black tank was shoehorned in and is small. Since we've pulled the engine, we'...

Re: F25 Renovation Inside & Out
The old '70's green formica on galley and table is still there, the green wall covering in the head is original, the previous owner at some point had recovered the cushions and backrest in mud brown, though the cushion for the table top was still the original green plaid upholstery like in the ad be...

F25 Renovation Inside & Out
When I bought her last May while going Covid-crazy, I told my wife that at least we're not buying a project boat. She ran and looked good for an old boat. HA! We both fell in love with her and her spot on Lake Ouachita near Hot Springs, Arkansas. So the improvements began. We got a good case of the ...

Re: Advice Sought for F25 pull and update
Thanks, the engine hold on that F25 is full of engine, so full you can't - or I can't - even get the old leaking plugs OUT. I did manage to get one out after nearly four hours of one handed pecking and put back in a rubber version of the one on your link. And that was the most accessible plug of the...

Advice Sought for F25 pull and update
I've got $20 worth of brass freeze plugs to install in my LM 318, and of course it's going to take a couple of thousand to pull the boat and engine. :) you gotta love old boats! So I'm also going to replace the old original galvanized fuel tank while engine's out, steam clean bilge, have working til...

Re: ‘77 F26 HT going solar
Thanks for email and the pics, great info! Looks like a clean and neat install. Interested to hear how it handles the frig load. Manual or electric head? Going to do LEDs on interior lights? Very cool.

I've wondered the same since I've got the hardtop too. Yes, let's see pics and if you can, a schematic of your setup.
