I removed the stove/oven from my boat and replaced it with a two burner electric cook top and installed the microwave where the oven used to be. I'll post a pic of it tomorrow, I'll be working on the boat.

New long blocks
The 318's are just about ready to go back into the boat, can't wait for spring!
Thanks for all the help and advice. There will be many more questions in the future as I remodel the interior. I'll post picks as I go.

Back to the hollow keel!
Before I put my motors back in I want to deal with the hollow keel. Has anyone tried putting concrete in the keel? Or what about 8lb foam? I would like to fill it with something to get rid of the stinky water situation. If not, I'm thinking of a bilge pump with a hose extending into the keel that co...

Re: Engine rotation
Thanks Mike,
The valve covers are off brand, just found stickers and cut to fit. Won't hear them run until spring, little nervous, never put motors together before. But you're right, feels good doing it your self!

Re: Oil Filter Relocation Recomendations
I looked at the Summit brand remote and it states not for marine use, not sure why. It looks like all the rest and a good price. I think you add the U shape fittings Larry did and it would be good. My opinion, but I'm just learning this stuff.

Re: Engine rotation
Thanks Big D,
Larry, I didn't see any obvious mark on the drop in gear, do I have to remove it to see it.
Thanks

Re: Oil Filter Relocation Recomendations
I found a kit from Mr Gasket for around $80.00. Anyone familiar with that brand, is it good or stay away from it?
Thanks

Re: Engine rotation
Ignore the last post!
I just read a past post from Larry that explained how to line up the gears. Now I just need to make sure I know which cylinder is number 1, are they the same for both motors even though they have a different firing order?
Again Thanks everybody, Jim

Re: Engine rotation
Good morning All, I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about the timing and putting the distributors back in. The gear that drives the distributor and oil pump can not just be dropped in can it? Because it is slotted I have only two options to its position driving off the cam, is that corre...

Re: Oil Filter Relocation Recomendations
That's a great question, I want to do the same with my 318s. I'm sure there will be some good advice for us on this forum.
