Re: 1981 6.5 onan generator

After many years of spending money to fix out 1982 Onan, i finally had enough and in 2014 replaced it with a Westerbeke 6.5 MCG-614. We spend approx. 40-45 nights anchored each season and I was in the bilge constantly keeping trying the Onan running. This has worked out great.

Good luck.

Re: Air Conditioner

The original A/C unit was a criuseair 16K condenser with 2 8K air handlers. The condenser was installed on the starboard side right behind the gas saddle tank. Copper lines ran to the air handlers. One air handler was under the starboad side v-berth. That air handler vented out just adbove thru the ...

Re: Air Conditioner

Once our A/C stopped working, I ended up replacing the 16K condenser and both air handlers with 2 separate Webasto A/C units. 16K under the galley sink and a 5K in the V-berth. Each unit has its own raw water pump and controls. It has worked great even in 90 degree weather.

Re: Size of the AC unit for an F32

Hi guys,

this spring I installed 2 webasto units. a 16K BTU under counter next to fridge. The 2nd unit is a 5K BTU installed under V-bunk on starboardd side of boat. Units been working great and keep the boat nice and cool in 90 degree heat.

Units were easy to install. I highly recommend.

Radar Arch for 1982 F32

Hi all,

I'm biting the bullet & planning on installing a radar arch for radar. I would love to know what anyone else has done and are there any lessons learned from the experience. So far I've been looking at Atlantic tower & Fishon Sports for the radar arch.

Thanks in advance.

FUEL TANK REPLACEMENTS F-32

Larry, I recommend replacing the saddle tanks when you pull the engines. eventually the tanks will leak. There are 5 Trojan F32 at the boat club & every single one of them have either replaced, pupmed dry or simply removed the saddle taks. I replaced mine when i repowered (05 & 06). I have s...

Good Windlass issue

Hi everyone, I was using my windlass and once it dispatched 30 feet of line, it stopped. No up or down. Motor is not eventrying. So i assumed it tripped a breaker. I went to the panel (under lower pilot station) and did not find a breaker. So now i assume there is an in line fuse somewhere. I took a...

Hi All, The rear fuel tanks in "Time Out" are disintgrating. I started picking up a fine white sand like substance in the water/fuel separators. So I am in process of shopping for replacement 60 gallon tanks. I am looking for drawings to provide so i can get estimates. I do have drawings f...
