The Broker sent us the survey, it looks pretty good. Actually, excellent. The Hull Number is 602-3014. Any thoughts on the hull #? Still not convinced it's a Trojan 47

I think I've found something, I think it may be a Trojan/Shepherd 50', built by Trojan just after purchasing Shepherd. Look at this link to the old Shepherd Brochure, let me know what you think. VERY Similar, to say the least? http://www.shepherdboats.com/Boat_Models/Brochures/1969%20Brochure%20Colo...

Yep, looks very much like that, except the aft cabin windows aren't the same, which tells me it must be a different year. Can't believe it's so hard to find info on this year/model. Thanks for your help!

Still researching....

Your opinions, what IS this boat? Year/length/hull?

http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1973/Trojan-F47-2413865/Bayport/MN/United-States We've been watching this boat for awhile now, and noticed another thread here with many differing opinions. Broker has it listed as a wood hull, 1973, 47'. I'm not convinced.... it looks much bigger, and does not look w...

Hello Everyone, we are very interested in this boat. Currently have a 1974 36" Tri Cabin which we love, but have been talking about liveaboards for awhile now, and this boat may suit us. I'm confused, though. I too don't think it's 47, looks much bigger. And I'm not sure it's wood, although I c...

Thanks Aaron,

I guess I am in good shape, I always run the blowers for at least 5 mins before starting. And most of the time open the engine compartments just to check fluid levels and inspect for leaks.

Your boat looks great, keep it up!

Update June 9, 2009: The port engine still is overheating, last night I replaced the impellers, and removed the thermostat, the new risers are not hot, just barely warm to the hand. (this is an improvement after impellers were installed) The exhaust manifolds are the same just warm to the hand. The ...
