Some good ideas & information floating out there. Heck, use as existing hull to use as a pattern to make a mold. Not a bad idea to find & redo existing boats to today's standards. Total tearout & rebuild, engines, electronics, layout, etc. Let's keep dialoging about it!

Good reading. With all the past glory of Trojan, I'm wondering why we Trojan lovers don't band together and resurrect the Trojan name in a new boat: start making and marketing it, & go through the adventure the McQueens & Hulls & Warners did!!!

Can you get a rough measure of your new boat from the highest point (running light perhaps?) to about 9" below the hull paint line? Do you have antennae that stick up high? Can they pivot down? A standard spec undoutably wouldn't help as each boat has had different componentry put on it over th...

The standard canvas configuration on the tri-cabins left the cockpit area open to water. Have you checked out the back end thoroughly? Between the prior owner of mine and myself, a lot of my wood in the back end has been replaced. Even check out the wood backing plates for the propeller shaft struts...

I used to live in Connecticut & New Jersey & have also been by that stretch of the Hudson lots of times. He came in low over the GW; don't want to imagine what it would have been like if he was lower & hit it. It would have been worse than when the plane went down in the Potomac & hi...

I'll bet they they should be more correctly called Mercruiser 280's. Take a look at the name plate on your engines & see what it says for Model # & Serial #. Mercruiser takes various car manufacturer engines, 'marine-izes' them, and calls them by their horsepower rating. I've got a tri-cabin...

Saw the incident on our TV news & the 1st thing I naturally thought about was my brother Trojan owners, but from what I could see of the capsized hull, it wasn't any of you, thank God. From what I've seen on the forum, those of you going out have been on bigger boats.

Leaking salon windows, 36' Tri-Cabin

I've seen in prior posts where the whole salon window assemblies have been removed from the boat to replace the window channels. My window channels are shot-leaked badly last summer. Used clear silicone caulk to get me through the season. While the boat is in inside storage this winter, I'd like to ...
