Re: F32 patio glass removal

Had the engines out of my 81 F-32 twice. Didn't have to remove the side glass (door removed). Installed thru the door angled with the transmission attached. Put duct tape on the 2 edges of the door to prevent scratches. The dip stick was removed as it sticks out beside the exhaust manifold. The eng...

Re: Flybridge Core project

Wow that looks great. Good idea to go after the whole area at once. I did a small section on mine and now need to chase it a bit further.

Cleaning fabric covering hull in V berth

Any suggestions on how to clean the fabric covering the hull? It needs some cleaning and I am afraid I will stain it of change the look by cleaning it.

Re: F-32 Performance Curves

Bob,
Do you have numbers for a 1990 F32 with 270 crusaders and 16x16 props?
Thanks

Re: Potable water plumbing layout 1990 F32

Mine is a sedan. The water lines under the cockpit have become very brittle and the outside is disintegrating.

Potable water plumbing layout 1990 F32

I was hoping someone may have a drawing of the layout of the plumbing on a 1990 F32. The lines under the cockpit have become very brittle. I have done a temporary repair to get me thru the end of the season but thinking I should probably replace all of the lines.

Re: Size of the AC unit for an F32

I would say it is one of 3 things:
1. Drain hose is clogged
2. Drain pan has a hole in it
3. Weight in the boat has been redistributed and the drain is no longer the low point

First guess would be a clogged drain line.

Re: "Slave Solenoid"

Yes that is a solenoid. The smaller terminals should be grounded to complete the circuit. I just rebuilt my starters and replaced the solenoids while I was there. The guy who rebuilt my starters ordered me the solenoids. I used ones that are for electric lift gate trucks. They are rated for continuo...

Re: Fuel Fill O-Rings

Well I finally got around to figuring out what O rings I needed. I ordered several sizes and this is what I found out. 1/8" x 2" ID - this size was on my boat but I found they favored the outside of the groove and did not fill the groove 1/8" x 1 7/8" ID - This favored the inside...

Re: Thoughts/idea formore life from riser (crusader)

When I change my risers and elbows I will be changing to the way my last F32 was set up. It used the 2" spacer with the hose connection between the riser and elbow as the outlet for the closed cooling. The stainless block off plate goes between the 2" spacer and the elbow and acts as the b...

Re: Starboard Volt gauge is dancing

The "can" is a capacitor. It's function is to take the noise out that a rotating type generator will produce. Without it you risk transferring that noise into radios as a whine that changes with rpms. As you stated a connection could certainly be at fault. May be worth switching batteries ...

Re: Air conditioner for an F32

I have installed a mermaid system in my 1985 and my 1990 has a cruiseairr system installed.

Make sure you get one that the controls allow a deicing mode.

Also my boat is in mystic if you would like to take a look.

Re: What is the lowest point in the engine room bilge on F32

ready123 - With the saddle tanks the low point at rest in is the engine room not aft. When underway it all depends on your trim etc. On a side note last spring I had dropped a 9/16 socket in the bilge and it went under the generator. Being unable to get to it I had left it there thinking it would no...
