Re: Project "Tri Fly"
Yes, the 440's I used to repower my F36 came with closed cooling so, a single pump for the manifolds, heat exchangers and oil coolers. (November sea trial photo)Those duel pocket Sherwood's pump lots of water. I came across some extra parts for them that you can probably use. Send me your mailing ad...

Awesome Barrie. Is that my port side 400 in place? What did you do about the Starboard engine? rebuild with your old block? Which drives are you using? Looks great.

Cetol Light or Natural may give you the look you are after... This shot is Cetol Light with Cetol Gloss over top. The second one is a little fuzzy with the low light under the cover. http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm20/captainmaniac_boatpics/Wood%20finishes/8a8433cb.jpg http://i292.photobucket....

Re: Teak Deck Refinish
Cetol vs varnishes vs teak oil each have their own followers. For me Cetol has always provided me with what I feel is the best alternative. Easy to apply, holds up well, UV protection, satin non-slip finish and has had several improvements over the years. The newest "Next Generation" Marin...

Re: Teak Deck Refinish
Hi Ron, yes I did. Glad to hear that awesome 44 is getting looked after. I have never used the Sikkens Door and Window #003 personally. I always use marine finishes on my projects. I checked the MSDS and compared it to Cetol and there is a difference. Looks like more UV properties with Cetol Marine....

Re: Teak Deck Refinish
I want to go with a low gloss varnish, but I don't know which one Welcome aboard Capt Ron, One thing that you should keep in mind when choosing and applying a new finish to your deck is traction. Although a gloss or low gloss finishes look great on a deck, when that deck is wet it's a slip and fall...

Re: Now I've done It
Hi Barrie, sounds like you have this figured out. By the way, my tri cabin has v-drives and yes, the starboard engine is the counter rotating. The engine you got from me with the hole in the block was the starboard (CR) engine from my boat. Jimbo.

Re: repower with 440's from 400's
Repower now complete. Sea trial went smoothly. Just need to reassemble the aft bulkhead. Bonus! water leaks fixed too. Thanks for all input. Regards, Jimbo36.
