I wonder if this was done for better fuel economy will sacrificing a higher top speed. I normally run ...

I replaced mine a few years ago. Florida Marine tanks made the replacements but put ther wrong sending units in the tanks. I ended up replacing the guages and tank senders. From what I gather they no longer make the round tanks for thr F-31. The fuel line pick up, on the back tank, was scaled shut.

Just make sure they are Coast Guard approved. If something went wrong, (heaven forbid a fire,) the insurance company would have a field day.

Take out one of the windows and take it to B&T Hardware on Back River Neck Road. They will make an exact copy and match the window tint. They do need the glass to match the tint.

Rebuilt my pumps several years ago but didn't replace the cams. Why they are called cams beats the hell out of me when they look like back to back forks. Anyway, port engine always ran a bit hotter. Last rebuild I replaced the cams, which on closer inspection, were well worn. Now port engine runs a ...

Interior Wood Finish

I have the original factory manual for my 1973 F-31. Watco teak oil finish was used, on the interior, according to the manual. I refinished all the interior wood, using Watco, several years ago. Watco is available at Home Depot. Very easy to use and provides a beautiful flat finish on the teak. I di...

The teak inside my 73 F-31 was originally finished with Watco Teak Oil according to the original owners manual that I have. Watco can be purchased from home Depot. Directions say that it can be used outside as well as in. I refinished all the inside wood several years ago. About the easiest stuff in...

Aaron,

I don't pull mine although I do remove the belts every year to prevent the belts from taking a "set." I rebulit my pumps last year so I should be good for awhile.

I heard on the radio, Saturday, this coming winter will be the coldest winter in ten years for the Northeast. Something about the weak El Nino in the Pacific will affect our weather in the Northeast. Anyway, I always pull my boat the first of November. Mild enough that I can get it covered up withou...
