Re: Cappy's f32 rehab

Additives that remove water don't do much best to pump the water out of the bottom of the tank . Also look at the check valves at the tank fitting . As far as the gauges go it sounds like the senders and the gauges are not compatible . Bought me one of these to remove water from the tank. Pumped ab...

Re: Shore Power connection cables

I upgraded to smartplugs. Inspect the existing cable sheathing for cracks or brittleness, and the conductors for corrosion. If you run new wires, use the old wires as ur fish tape to pull the new wires into place. And i would add strain relief to the cabling regardless. In a house, which doesnt exac...

Re: F36 aft sink drain discharge location

Is there a way to mount the electrical panels on a “door” the swings open for easy access. Probably not, or I would have done it..... You can protect your woodwork if you gently file the back edges of the panels so that they are not sharp, and apply tape to the edge of the panel each time you take ...

Re: F36 aft sink drain discharge location

The bilge pump seems to be getting no power. Well now that WOULD make the sink drain into the bilge! Read about your (Great Loop)/2 trip. Sounds like it was an awesome adventure. P.S. under your bed youll find, gulp, 220 gallons of gasoline. And you may want to search for and read my posts on under...

Re: F36 aft sink drain discharge location

Mine is an '85. My shower sump is at the foot of the bed, centerline, and activated by a float switch in said box. No separate manual switch like the front head. If your floor is completely carpeted, you may be able to see the box if you remove the floor of the hanging locker, dangle upside down, an...

I would think the shower/tub drain may also discharge into the same box as the sink since there are only two thru-hulls.
Correct. And if you need access to the tub drain, it is via a the hatch inside the vanity.

Re: F36 aft sink drain discharge location

One is the sink discharge, pumped overboard via a bilge pump in a box at the front of the bed, and the other is the aft bilge pump.

Re: 36ft Trogan tricabin new owner

If you buy the beer, I'll donate my services as crew. Depends on a few things we can discuss later if you're interested. Based on the available info, I really recommend going via the Chesapeake. It might add 100 miles to the trip, but a Tricab is not exactly built to run to the canyons. Compare her ...
