Not being able to believe the price, and needing some myself, I looked at 8 or 10 other places after I first posted. Most were ~$23 per can! Then I found this place with a slightly lower price than in my first response:

Re: This is a Strange one.......
How long did you let the hot water run -- enough to completely purge the "old" water in the tank and the long plumbing run? If you did not, you could have introduced dirty water into the system, or stirred-up gunk that had otherwise been happily sitting on the bottom of the tank that was d...

Re:
"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.†- Thomas Jefferson I generally avoid quoting Jefferson because, while not the only founding father to own slaves (how do you think George Washington ran Mt. Vernon?), he has the greatest reputation of not just owning human beings as prope...

Boating log book
In my really expensive hobby, I am required by the FAA to keep a log of hours spent piloting (at least the hours that are required to show compliance with currency regs). No such log requirement exists for those casual captains cruising at 0 MSL. Nevertheless, this is my first full season having my ...

Re: WHY WE LOVE OUR BOATING LIFESYTLE
I was going to mention the time that conditions were so bad that even the cat was puking from being sea-sick..... Ahh, memories. I'll go look and see if someone started that "Real-life boating stories" thread now.squall blows in with 60 mph winds and you have 3-4 footers in two minutes

Re: WHY WE LOVE OUR BOATING LIFESYTLE
Yeah, that's the life. The only thing left out is, everything else about boating. You know, the five trips to West Marine in one day; discovering that the PO confused AC hot and DC ground one day when your knuckles are bloodied from scraping barncales off the shaft while it's on the hard - and reach...

I have read many good things about Sailrite sewing machines in magazines that I don't care to mention in a powerboat forum. In addition to selling sewing machines (with the price, a good used one might be worth considering), they sell a wide variety of upholstery accessories. http://www.sailrite.com/

What? No gun control thread yet??
It's been more than 24 hours since Obama outlined his gun control proposals, and not one thread about the second amendment? In case you forgot: A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. For the last...

One other thing. It's been a few months since I shopped, but this place had decent prices on ground tackle:

I bought the Maxwell 8 but have not installed it yet. One thing that drew me to it was the presence of an o-ring seal in the gear case. I looked at what folks had to say about Lewmar, and there were complaints about water getting into the gears because there was gasketing. I also looked at Good beca...
