Re: Loud ticking/knock from starboard engine

Rocker adjustment is probably out because of collapsed lifters ( no oil ).You will see when intake comes off. I have destroyed cams before but not because of oil pressure issues, it was always fixable with a replacement of parts and some cleaning inside with a magnet, I fear this maybe worse. Good l...

Cant hear anything on the link, and hard to see from the pic , but looks like there is not much if any oil getting up to the rockers etc. Got the link to work, look into the oil thing. Mike Yes,we noticed that as well, didn't understand that either. Tak...

Re: Plastic Fuel Tanks installed in a 1977 F-32 model 321

Its the fuel that makes the tank swell ( expand ) FYI, it does pretty much what the instructions say.I left a space around the bottom shelf it sits on and , a few small adjustments, the hard part was getting at the hold down fasteners as we had the waste tank, air conditioner etc all in the middle.

Re: Plastic Fuel Tanks installed in a 1977 F-32 model 321

Your tanks may be different , but on mine the hose pulled sideways on the plastic tank inlet fitting, so ran the hose thru the bulk head to get the drop right, with the appropriate chafe guarding of course, the only joint you really want is at the deck fitting and at the tank itself. After you run t...

Another vote for the Good. I installed the same one as RWS, even the same bow roller, worked flawlessly, nice equipment, quality parts, very nice family business to buy from and made in the US. Would not hesitate to buy again.

Re: 318 4 BBl carb

Just to add, your choke plate is fully open, but there is a small hanging tab on the linkage at the side which will not allow the four barrels to open when cold. Sometimes the tab is worn and sticks, have a look and watch the linkage as you work the throttle from closed to full open with the engine ...

Re: Plastic Fuel Tanks installed in a 1977 F-32 model 321

If you have the original deck fills, remove them from the boat, they come apart and you can screw a new correct fitting to it to fit the fill hose......access to the fuel fill hose connections is behind the aft panel in the side sliding storage areas. It is quite easy really, just cut the hose that j...

I had something along these lines, turned out one of the gages was not compatible with the other , google how to check your temp gages , then you can cross them off the list.
