Re: Edelbrock Carb Choke Wiring
It does not show the solenoid wiring, But I believe the terminal you're using to activate the relay goes to the + side of the coil. Full 12 volts cranking, lower voltage running as it feeds from the coil after the ballast resistor. Will the lower voltage keep the relay on? Would the relay draw much ...

Re: Edelbrock Carb Choke Wiring
A lot of people have hooked it up to the + on the coil or the alt. If It was mine I would find a 12-volt ignition feed. You did not say what engine you had.

Re: VD 1:1 shaft spins in Neutral?
It sounds like the forward clutches are badly dragging/sticking. Did you need to force the trans in? Did you run it with very low fluid after the installation. Does the shaft turn while cranking before it starts? Normally you see this when the trans slips momentarily and welds the forward clutches t...

Re: 1982 Trojan Delta Conic: To Buy or Not To Buy
Delta Cronic is the name of a hull design used on Trojan Internationals and the Trojan American. The boats range from 20'? to 14 meters ( close to 50') Any photos of what you're looking at?

Re: velvet drive issue
As far as 1000-1200 in the slip, I don't know your dock or line conditions, but would have no issue with mine. But have seen some I would not.

Re: velvet drive issue
If the noise goes away when you raise the rpm, the cause could be a misfire or the dampener plate or both. They will aggravate each other. Even a slight miss can cause a noise. I have fixed many a transition noise issue with a carburetor adjustment. Maybe 1000-1200 rpm? As far as getting towed back ...

Re: Crusader engine model 350 spark plugs?
Sorry about taking so long to reply. the RV8C crosses to MR43T. The MR44T is close but 1 heat range higher. Why do they recommend Champion on the big block I have no clue, maybe a marketing deal? Mercrusier recommends AC MR43T on their BB of the same HP. The "Y" on champion and "S&quo...

Re: velvet drive issue
Many a mechanic have been fooled into thinking that noise coming from behind the engine is always a tranny issue. You'd be amazed how sound bounces around the engine bay leading you to believe it's coming from a place that's not actually the source. Unless there's an obvious indication of a tranny ...

Re: 89 mid cabin fuel question
Good question. The only issue I can see is condensation. With that said my tanks rarely stay full. If I fill them it's a good chance they will be at 1/2 to 3/4 the next day. And will not be filled until I get to 1/4 tank, so my boat normally stays at 1/4 to 3/4 when sitting with no issues. So I don'...

Re: velvet drive issue
Trojan 37? Do you mean an 11-meter? Yes, the back of the engine has to be supported. The trans will weigh about 150+ pounds. Whether you can or should do it yourself or is a decision only you can make, I have no clue what your abilities are. Paying a pro to diagnose it is not a bad idea. Any chance ...
