Re: International 22" Forward Deck Hatch Replacement

THANK YOU ! my own current research indicates that the BOMAR low profile hatch will fit with minimal fiberglass cutting, if any. I do prefer the quality of the LEWMAR Ocean series or their mid profile, but it has come down to a fitment issue. Any significant width increase puts me well into the buil...

My 35 year old hatches need more than the simple lens replacement, available through Beacon Marine. I've seen photos of Internationals sporting non-factory hatches. Can anyone please advise as to which hatch they used, Lewmar, Bomar, Vetus, etc and which specific size? Any issues? Any additional cut...

Re: 10 Meter Mid Cabin "Refresh" ***Title Change***

WOW - - - LOOKING WONDERFUL

I am currently in the middle of a similar project, so I share your pleasure AND pain at the same time.

These meter boats were spectacular when new, and bringing one back makes the impact fresh all over again.

Re: Finding Water Intrusion and Installing Underwater lights

The rudder design on the International will not allow ANY water intrusion, PERIOD. Top bearing is above the water line. Bottom is external to the boat. my Lumitech lights arrived today ! 5 Quattros two each on the rudder covers, mounted vertically and one on the divers dream zinc mount = zero holes ...

Re: 12 Meter Rudder stuffing box flax size

on the 10 meter the "box" is above the water line.

plastic bushings - no stuffing box or seals needed.

Re: Considering Another with Detroit Diesels

once you've gone diesel, you'll agree

straight inboard diesel or outboard

the many marine diesel advantages makes them WORTHY of the extra effort.

Trojan/Production/Refitment/International/Meter/Lancaster/Carver

“ The Last Trojan Internatonals were built in Lancaster, PA in the early 1990's. Refitting an International can make a great deal of sense if one is seeking a vessel for long term ownership. Lancaster built Internationals have zero in common with the Carver built Trojan Express series, which was a w...

Re: 10 meter windlass

In 2003 I bought a Lewmar-Simpson/Lawrence 600 Freefall horizontal windlass. It was small and compact, had a combination chain/rode gypsy and I thought it was the perfect match. https://www.lewmar.com/node/16899 It was adequate for awhile, but it would often suffer from failing to engage the clutch ...
