this attaches to the vent

holes should face UP

make sure its all sealed together as a unit

make sure the actual vent on the outside has a good caulk joint

Re: 1987 10.8 Meter Sedan Salon windows leaking

also check the plastic air vents - just above the gunnels. There should be a plastic "box" attaches to the back of these. That box keeps rain or wind driven water water from coming in. If they are missing, broken, or no longer tightly attached, the result will be water intrusion. Same thing if they ...

Re: 1987 10.8 Meter Sedan

my 10 meter was fitted with outriggers water would come down and run over the top of the gunnel sound/air barriers (plywood) which eventually rotted, allowing water to enter the cockpit, or in your case, the salon. we don't use the outriggers so last month we removed and glassed over the holes now r...

Boat Weight & Performance Curves

Something to consider: The published dry boat weight for a 10 meter is 12,000 lbs. That's the number I used when we calculated the first set of props for the new diesel engines in 2005 Those diesels are a bit lighter than the 454 Crusaders they replaced Filled the boat with 242 gallons of fuel, 17 g...

Re: 10M 454 closed system overheating

suggest you invest $50 in a decent I R thermomitor

run both engines and compare the relative temps at different locations.

this way you can compare temps and isolate the problem

if you have side exhausts, might check for obstruction in the chamber - possibly some marine growth?

Re: 10 Meter Mid Cabin "Refresh" ***Title Change***

really looks good.

I just installed one from PLASTEAK, and also went with the under platform ladder.

Gives the transom a much cleaner, nicer, uncluttered look than that old hinged one up against the transom.

Your boat is really looking good !!!

Re: 12 Meter Express -Dart datamarine depth finder

best not to throw good $$$ after bad.

The only issue will be changing out the 'ducer

When is your next haulout scheduled?

Otherwise, can you a new chartplotter where you can have a transom mounted transducer that can later (when you do your next haulout) be changed over to a through hull?

Re: Repowering 198310 meter Trojan

EPA requirements have effectively killed the Yanmar 6LP turbodiesel in the U.S. market. The replacements is way too complex for my tastes and the expense makes it cost prohibitive. Dunno what else is available out there. Bear in mind an inline 6 will be taller and narrower than the V8 It will also b...
